It was sore to the point that walking up the stairs to my garage was painful and I definitely couldn't run. For about 6 weeks I tried everything I could think ofice, heat, staying off it and some Chinese medicine that I rubbed on itbut nothing helped. I was beginning to get desperate as my race was coming up in two weeks and I was unable to run. Fortunately, I ran into a friend who suggested acupuncture and Karen Reynolds. I called her, went in for a consultation and initial treatment and after 3 visits I was able to run without any pain. It is now a year later and I have had no recurrence of my Achilles injury.
