Scrumptious breakfasts. Eat outside under a canopy of bougainvillea. The wait staff is friendly and not intrusive. Not really very crowded except for busy days.

I heard about Loteria on one of the food cable networks stating it as one of the best shack style places to eat in L.A. I checked it out and they were right. They have a unique menu with amazing dishes. Their salsa is super spicy ! Definitely try their enchiladas and tacos.

I have been here many times so I can tell you they have great breakfast the French Toast is cooked just right and the pancakes are awesome. The eggs are great too. Some times the counter workers are a bit confused but thats because it is such a busy place and all the food is cooked to order in a very small kitchen. I would put this on my list for a must if you are looking for great breakfast.

Coming to "The Grove" was supposed to be something different. Enjoy some shopping, eat some great food and enjoy the outdoors!

I wish I never wasted my time eating there. I stopped at Charlie's because they were serving breakfast. My daughter wanted a burger and my boyfriend had the Philly Sandwhich. We were all greatly disappointed with our meal.

The downfall of my Sunday outing began before I ever ordered my food. The entire set up of their ordering is all wrong. If they took a moment to properly set up their counter, they would be able to process everyone effectively. The poor cashier, who looked about 17 years old, was obviously not properly trained by the management. Having to guess at pricing and ask about every order she was taking, the wait was too long. In addition to the untrained staff, the management berated the poor thing in front of all the waiting customers. Unacceptable treatment and completely unprofessional! Then after ordering we sat around for 20 minutes before our order was ready.

My french toast was over soaked in egg, so it was completely mushy and gross to eat. My boyfriends Philly was bland and looked tossed together and barely had any chicken in it. My daughters burger was basic, plain with ketchup, so you can't go wrong with that. Overall, I would NEVER recommend anyone to waste the time, money or appetite on this spot.

Cons: Morons for Management, Terrible Food, Terrible Set Up, Long Wait

Among the lot of restaurants at the Grove's Farmer's Market Loteria stands out. Their nachos can be made meatless and have an amazing salsa verde on them. We've decided they are the most addictive nachos we've ever tried. They also have great drinks like watermelon juice,, and traditional horchata. I've heard the tacos are kind of plain, it's just meat on a tortilla. I recently tried the potato taquitos with guacamole and loved them. If you like Mexican food I'm sure you'll enjoy this place.

Who would have thought that the best mexican food I've had in LA was served at a taco stand in LA's historic farmers market?

Where to start? I love ordering the small soft tacos. While I am generally a carnivore, they have quite a few very tasty vegetarian options. The potatoes, poblano pepper, and cheese as well as the cactus salad fillings are superb. I also love their queso fundido and their rolled tacos.

A taco and burrito stand that can be considered somewhat gourmet. The prices are a bit high, but all of the food is excellent. Plus, it's an excuse to go to the Farmer's Market at 3rd and Fairfax.
