I've tried many ramen places, and Foo Foo Tei has got to be my favorite! It's amazing how it's usually packed full of people with long waits even though the restaurant is located in a remote area.

Everything on the menu is worth trying! My favorites are the Shitake Mushroom Ramen with miso soup and the chicken teriyaki plate.

I love going to this ramen house because it is so delicious and warms my body up in all the right ways on both warm and cold days. The appetizers are also great and I love the unagi (eel) as well as the fried squid.
They also have a shelf of Japanese magazines and manga to read or skim through while you wait and the workers are very nice. It is small and can get crowded, but it is very good.

Foo Foo Tei is my boyfriend's personal favorite restaurant, and it has become mine as well! The ramen here is always piping hot and full of flavor! I love getting the Yasai Miso Ramen. It comes with lots of vegetables on top and the miso soup base is salty - just the way I like it! The Saba Shioyaki is also really good and huge too!

Easy to miss this little gem driving down the street. It's on the small side but I've never had a problem getting served quickly for lunch. I'm not in the area for dinner so I'm not sure if there's a wait or not.

The shoyu soup base is great. The big surprise was the curry, most places simply miss the mark on Japanese curry. Not Foo Foo Tei, they have katsu (breaded pork cutlet) curry, or curry rice. Both are great. The food takes me back to Tokyo.

The only draw back is it's a little pricy compared to other noodle houses. Give it a try, you won't be sorry.

Pros: The curry and ramen are just like Tokyo.

Cons: Parking can be tight, easy to miss from the street the first time.

Food was great, but pricy compares to other restaurants. the serving was small, i feel like eating nothing at all after ordering the ramen for lunch. Service was inconsistent. But friendly service

It's easy to miss this wonderful little restaurant (It's inside a tiny plaza and situated right behind a staircase), but it's worth finding. Once inside you find that it's fairly busy, considering it's locaton. On the menu there is everything from curry and ramen to fried tofu and katsu chicken bowls. My favorite is the fried chicken with egg, rice bowl. It comes with bowl of soup and a side salad. MMmmmm... yummy!

I really like this place and suggest it for a casual meal. It's authentic and independent--very refreshing these days.
