I was meaning to write this review for a few months now and am just getting to doing so. We used Partner moving services for our move in July of 2009 from Palo Alto to Oregon, and can not thank them enough.
It was a very large move and the had to pack the entire house up and did a wonderful job. They sent a 4 man crew that arrived at 7am on the 15th and started packing and loading within 15 minutes of inspecting our house.
These guys worked so hard and did a really great job especially with our 3 kids running around all day.
Delivery went great 2 days later and the same guys delivered minus 1 of the original guys. Again, we owe them a lot.
I would refer other people to them and really want to thank Partner Van Lines for their efforts

One move helped me move to my new apartment. My dad found them online. He had them give me a call. It was pretty easy for me since my dad took care of all the details. I just had to tell them the time and day and that its. The person who called was polite and nice to deal with. They did ask me to pack everything, which I did for the most part. I did have some stuff left out. The guys packed and moved the rest. They brought some boxes as loaners, which was pretty cool. I was happy that they didnt charge me for those boxes. I guess it is complimentary. The movers worked fast and didnt seem to mind the stairs at all. They made my day and I even ended up with some extra cash since they finished faster. I would rate my experience with them to be extremely satisfied and I will definitely use them for any future moves.

I recently moved to Mountain View and my previous moving company bailed out on me because of a family emergency thing. Whatever. So, desperate to find somebody to move my heavy stuff in the new place, I called Partner Van Lines. Without doing my research (lesson well learnt), and unaware of the tricks they are playing. Oh, gone is my innocence!
So the moving consultant gave me an estimate of 3 men for 3 hours + cost of materials, which, she assured me, shouldn't be more that 50-60 dollar. It was still on the expensive side, but whatever, as long as it is done.
The morning of the move (which was the last day when I could vacate my previous apartment - again, lesson learnt), instead of 3 men, there come 4 men. Their supervisor / coordinator tells me: for this one bedroom, it is better to have four men and we can finish it in 4 hours. With three men will only be done in 5.

"What's up with the estimate?"
"Oh, the consultants have no idea about how much work it involves!!"

This is just plain RIDICULOUS. You can communicate with the "consultant" and adjust the estimate. I felt like a fish hooked on a very stupid rod. How could I fall for that!!

"So, lady, you have a choice: 4 men for 4 hours or 3 men for 5 hours"
"No, a choice would be the initial 3 men for 3 hours OR 4 men for 2 hours"

Another choice, send them home, lose the deposit and move my Ikea bed all by myself.

Obviously not a choice.

So taking into consideration my time worth and their price, we decided for 4 men for 4 hours + $120 (!!) packing materials.

The guys who actually did the work were very good and very nice and they did work hard (although with a burrito break, probably dictated by the supervisor so they can justify the 4 hours). It is not their fault they are working for a company that would steal in your face.

So from an estimate of 300 it went up to 600. I understand the concept of estimate, but really, not even the worst student in statistics can be that off. Unless he wants to.

So... stay away!

rafael and Matt did an excellent job with my move. They arrived on time, were thoughtful and considerate about the job. They began working immediately, worked efficiently and continuously until the job was done. They moved my belongings like professionals. They were polite and easy going, if they were stressed they certainly didn't show it. They made the whole thing look very easy. As you know moving is stressful and I felt at ease watching them work. i thank them very much, they were wonderful! I'll recommend this services to all.

I would feel absolutely confident in recommending Partner's to anyone. They are not cheap but they know what they are doing and do not damage stuff. They arrived on time, set to work and made things as easy as it could possibly be. My upright piano arrived at the new location without a scratch. I was impressed. They also seem to have a good rating with the moving insurance company because I was able to insure my move quite cheaply with them. Luckily, I didn't need to make any claims. I had a very bad experience with another company called Special Moving a few years ago, so I was determined to find a reliable and trustworthy company. I will use Partner again without hesitation.

I highly recommend this company.
They were forthcoming during the entire process. All the information was available in big letters.
The move went out perfectly, on time and professional.
I rarely find myself recommending any company but these guys went that extra mile to deserve it.

I hired Partner to move our 4-bedroom home. The job was completed on 10/15. They did a pretty darned good job. The whole house was moved in 9 hours by 4 movers.I received many other offers, at lower rates, but all were for just 3 guys. They also sent me an onsite estimator, who gave me a quote after going through my belongings. He answered all my questions and even gave me a tip or two to help me save on this move. That plus the excellent recommendation from a family friend is what caused me to hire them. They arrived on time, moved everything within the estimated timeframe, didn't break anything (as far as I know so far) and didn't nick any walls.

They did use a lot of tape. But they did the taping exactly correctly - there was no tape against any painted surface, no tape against any real wood surface (table tops, etc.). They put sticky sides together where the tape will be touching wood directly. That means extra tape gets used, but, there's no damage to the finish..

We also helped ourselves with this move by having pretty much everything packed up. Our team leaders first comment was that we packed very well (which made me happy because we still had stuff to do and I thought we were behind!). She said it always takes longer if there's lots that still has to be packed.

All the movers had Partner Van Lines T-shirts. All in all I am pretty happy with the move, and with Partner Van Lines. I would recommend them.

PS, EVERY mover will contact you multiple times trying to get your business, until you tell them "I have hired another mover".

I wanted to take a minute to express how happy I was with the service I received at Partner Moving.
I called your 800-number looking for a small move to be made to a vacation home within a few days. Shon took all my info and assured me he would be able to help out. He was very friendly (and funny) and helpful. He gave me a price quote and explained what I should ask about if I was going to shop around. I explained that the date wasn?t definite because we were waiting on a certificate of occupancy.
He told me not to worry he would work it out if I had to switch dates.
I was going to shop your price but quite frankly Frank was so accommodating and helpful I decided just to go with your company.
I inevitably had to cancel my date and put my move on hold. When I was ready Frank quickly rescheduled the move. My new date was set for Wednesday, and I called on Friday to see if I could change the time because I didn?t realize if I started at my home between 2 and 4 I would be home too late on a school night for my children. Shon wasn?t there but whoever answered the phone said-? no problem I?ll help you reschedule?.
On Sunday, the movers (Carlos, Dan and John) came on time, were extremely courteous and hard working. They worked hard not to damage any walls or floors and were respectful of our things. They were happy to take anything I needed to take last minute and kept telling me they had plenty of space in the truck if I had anything else. I was very pleased with the way I was treated and the whole job in general. I have used other movers for three small moves and one large move in the last five years and they were not pleasant experiences. Thank you for making this one pleasurable.

Partner Van Lines moved my entire 3 bedroom house from Santa Clara to Mountain View and I have to say they were amazing. They were at the time the cheapest company I could find. I took a chance on them and they really came through. Really nice people as well. The men were very courteous, professional and pleasant. I was very impressed. Overall I would say they are an honest company. I would recommend them to anyone who is moving a long ways.

All I can say is that Partner Moving and Storage in Mountain View is absolutely horrible. They treat you nice when you call up but once they have your money they then are extremely mean and rude if something goes wrong. They took advantage of me, probably because I'm a single mom. While I ended up losing money, you don't have to. I HIGHLY recommend using someone else for your move... ANYONE ELSE! Don't believe their lies or their low prices because, in the end, the only thing you will be left with is a giant headache.

Pros: Gives you low price in the beginning. Seems very nice at first on the phone during initial consultation.

Cons: Will take you to the cleaners. Delivered my property THREE WEEKS LATE and said it was my fault!! Horrible service, horrible company. Do not use!

I would actually like to give them a negative 5 stars but guess i can't. I set up everything online for my move---very cool. They have a very professional website---nice. I old them everything i had...90% i had boxed up myself. I had some wallunits with some glass and 2 plasma tvs. No problem...gave me a quote and said tape would be extra? kinda wierd...but like i said pretty much everything was done so no worries. They arrived...4 of them 1 spoke english. They started taking the packed boxes to the truck then the main guy mentioned that each tv would be an extra $150 and about $50 for each glass panel in the wall unit! WTF??? I said no friggen way...no one metioned that. Then he calls his manager...they guy repeats everything and im like...NO JACK###. Then he's like well we can just put it in the truck as is but we are not responsible....yeah...like im gonna trust you to take care of my stuff now! He said whatever and sent the guys to the next job.
DO NOT USE ! Oh...and they made me but a $75 deposit down which i had to dispute with my credit card company. I think that may be the ONLY way they make money! Did I say---DO NOT USE???

Cons: everything else, nickel & dime you---EVERYTHING is extra

This moving company showed up very late and had not notified me they would be late. They had given me a low bid but then charged exorbitant prices for a few rolls of tape and a cardboard box or two ($76). I subsequently discovered that a case of wine was missing, which I suspect was stolen by the movers. I contacted the company and received a claim form, which I returned. I never heard from them. I contacted them several times, but no response. The employees apparently were dishonest and the company was unresponsive. Don't use them.

Pros: Low bids

Cons: Theft by workers; company unresponsive to complaints; exorbitant last-minute charges for extras
