The Lab Hair Salon

I'm still trying to help my girlfriend move past her butcher job. She had long gorgeous hair till Danny, who i think is the manager or something, cut it into this mushroom type shape. Now she is so sad about her weird cut and I have to blow it out for her every few days just to get the mushroom funky shape layers to lay flat. Danny was also mean to her and made her feel like an old lady. While he was cutting her hair and pretending to be friendly he commented on her crows feet and circles under her eyes asking if it was hereditary. Who asked you? She just got quiet and uncomfortable. Women go to the salon to feel good about themselve, not to feel like sh**. Now she is totally freaked out by the comments made on her skin and eyes and she much too young to feel that way. Next time you chop some ones hair to pieces maybe you can keep your insulting thoughts to yourself.

Pros: near local surgeons for the after effect of Danny's insults!

Cons: I have to straighten my B.F.s hair the last 2 months.

I got my Brazilian Blowout with Damo at The Lab Salon - it's great! He is so professional, offers superb customer service. My hair is silky smooth, not frizzy anymore...definitely worth every penny that I have spent! Call him! 310-497-1019

Danny is the MAN! He is truly an artist - he makes me feel so beautiful when I leave his chair. He knows what my style is and is able to enhance my features. Sososo happy I found him!

I was reffered to Valarie by one of her usual clients and I MUST say that just like my name says I AM SUPER PICKY!. I made an apt with her and I was soooooo pleased. First of all, she is always on time despite her busy schedule! she listens to my concerns and most importantly what I want my hair to look like when I leave. I had so many experiences with stylist doing what they want to do and get scissor happy with my hair BUT NOT HER.... She recommended the Brazilian treatment which saved my hair! those of you who have not tried it, GO FOR IT, my hair is now so manageable but I love her blowdries so much, I now get one every week. Valarie definetly fits the profile of a Beverly Hills stylist and the LAB SALON deserves her..You can thank me later..

I go to Damo, and he is great. The salon is really nice, but not stuffy....I would use the word "hip" to describe the decor. Plasma's at every station are a nice touch.

Wow! What a fantastic experience I had with Damo and Erik at the Lab Salon for my color, cut, and style!!! [I was referred by my best friend]

I walked in and it was by far better than I expected from what my girlfriend described. I was greeted by the most friendly guy, I think his name is Eddie. He made me feel welcome immediately...not usually common in upscale salons in BH!

You'll never look and feel better than the way I felt with them. NO MATTER WHAT I DO WITH MY HAIR, IT LOOKS FANTASTIC! I felt that I had to share my experience with everybody, that's why I wrote this review!

Pros: Amazing customer service and style.

Cons: Parking - try to valet if you're spending the day in BH.

damo has been cutting my hair and my wife's hair in beverly hills for 11 years. he really knows what's up.

he is a fun and funny guy, did our hair for our wedding years ago when he owned the lush salon in beverly hills, and has become our good friend. damo has been at a few salons in beverly hills but the lab salon has by far the most low key and friendly staff since lush.

I came here because the reviews on citysearch were so good, and it did not dissapoint. From the atmosphere to the stylist's every detail has been thought of....they even have flat screen tv's at each station! I love my hair!! It has never looked better.

I made a commitment to pay the money and get my hair done to see if made a difference in my personal life. I met Schuyler, who I thought was gay, but alas, he is entertainingly not! He listens to the clients, asks for feedback, and tries to accommodate your every need, dislike, want, and issue. I am high maintenance when it comes to my hair. VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE. Schuyler did a wonderful job making my already beautiful hair even more beautiful. I have recommended coworkers to him and they loved him as well."

I have not trusted anyone to do my hair in years. I decided to take a chance on Schuyler at the Parlor and I will not go to anyone else ever again. He gave me the best hair cut I have ever had. I can wear my hair curly or straight and it looks good no matter what. He is also the master of color. I will go to him to cut and color my hair from now on. If you want great hair....ask for Schuyler.

I have been going to Jade for a few years now and she is so consistent and creative. I want to say that Jade has moved to Rodeo Drive. If you want a great hairstylist, colorist and a specialist in the Brazilian Keratin Treatment for relaxing hair Jade is who you'll want.

She is at The Salon by Maxime at the Rodeo Collection. I love the ambiance of this Salon, it is a great location for parking. The mood is relaxing, I always look forward to pampering myself here. The Salon has a Makeup Artist and Manicurist for those who want it all.

This girls got it going on! She is on top of her game and in a league of her own. Jade makes you feel like her number one priority the moment you walkl in and when you leave you feel like you have made a life long friend. I came in with a dated cut that I grew out for six months and color, I hate to admit I did myself! I brought in a couple of pictures which I thought I wanted and after a great consultation with Jade she showed me what her vision was along with my needs and exceeeded my wildest hopes! I walked out of this hip high end yet NOT pretentious Beverly Hills Salon looking 10 years younger and feeling more like myself than I had in years. How she made my orange hair look natural carmel brown with vanilla highlights is a mystery to me. Blondes are her speciality and with my fine hair i couldn't believe that after a cut i looked like I had twice as much hair. Change is good! She is patient attentive and she really cares about what the client wants. If you want a classic look or a current trendy do....this is your girl....A+ and my stylist guru! My girlfriend was lucky to find her on yelp and reffered me to her, the new me would be lost without her! Give Jade a try....and a great value to boot.

I moved to LA about a year and a half ago and have been searching for a stylist. I have been to all of the top salons and couldn't find anyone who was able to do my hair quite like my old stylist UNTIL I met Sharin at The Lab. She is great with both color and cuts and has given me good advice to help keep my extensions healthy and to make them last long (unlike most other stylists who want you to come back in for constant maintence so they make more money). I tell everyone about her and could not recommend her more. SHE IS THE BEST!!!

I'm rating this salon cuz Nicole is here. She is by far the best hairdresser I've ever been too. There is an attention to detail that goes beyond perfectionism. Not only does she know what she's doing, she's edgy and hip and just won't let you leave if you don't look perfect. Ever since she's been bleaching my hair, it's grown out and it's the perfect color. Especially impressive since my natural color is dark brown. She doesn't compromise your hair to rush you out. She does these amazing extensions and does them with such precision that even her co-workers take notice-these extensions actually help your hair grow. I've seen her do men's haircuts with the same sort of delivery, as well as color/highlights. When she styles your hair,it's perfect. She has this combination of talent, artistry, ability, experience and judgement that shows me that she was born to do this.

Pros: Two Great Hairdressers. Great hair products. Awesome coffee. Plenty of parking.

Cons: Nothing unless Nicole and Chrissy leaves.

My bf and I recently visited the lab salon in Beverly Hills and our experience was simply amazing, I had Abby Aguilera work her magic on my hair while my bf got an amazing edgy haircut by Danny M. Afterwards we had dinner at Mr.Chow restaurant and we got many compliments on our hair even by a known celebrity!!! We are coming back for sure, what a great service by everybody at the lab, starting by the high end service at the reception desk.
We definitely recommend it to everybody!

The stylist, not to name any names, spilled bleach on my brand new black dress and said "it will come out".... after several hundred dollars later. I was unimpressed. For all the salons in Los Angeles... I wouldn't go back again to this one. This Beverly Hills location will not give you the type of service you deserve.

A friend of mine introduced me to Zarima at The Lab. I have very unruly long hair and find that a bad haircut will keep getting worse. Also, bc I scuba dive and put my hair through abnormal amount off torture, my hairstylists hate me. Zarima is sweet, easy going, and doesn't repremand me for not coming in as often as I should AND EVERY TIME I leave her salon, my hair looks amazing! Even a month after a haircut, my friends are commenting on great my hair looks!

Abby Aguilera is the best kept secret in Beverly Hills however, she won't remain that way for long! A friend referred me to get my hair done (cut, color and highlights) by Abby who had recently relocated to The Lab Salon in Beverly Hills. When I entered the salon it was like a movie set. It was buzzing with stylists and clients, just the right tone of "hip" background music playing, the perfect lighting and it was full of high energy! Abby took the time to discuss the current condition my hair was in, as I sipped on a fantastic cup of coffee, while at the same time asking me key questions about my daily routine, she then proceeded by making recommendations on how to cut, color and style my hair. She touched on every detail assuring me it was going to come out to truly express my individuality ...and so it did! I loved everything about it and without a doubt I walked out looking and feeling like a MOVIE STAR! The color and highlights looked so rich and natural and the cut was perfect! I highly recommend Abby to anyone who is or desires to be a CELEBRITY!!!

So a friend of mine told me to go to Abby Aguilera at the LAB SALON in Beverly Hills, I was a little concern about the price to be honest but I have been hoping from stylist to stylist for years trying to find my own and was always disappointed because they would either cut too much length or do what they wanted and disregard what my original request was.
Well I HAVE FOUND MY STYLIST FOR LIFE, Abby Aguilera listened to me, to what I wanted, recommended some vitamins that i can take for my hair to grow (nobody has ever been so caring and delicate when asking about my hair thinning condition) she was asking lots of questions about what I do for a living, what I want to see in my hair and so on and the final result was even better than what my original expectation was, my hair looks full, long, beautiful and healthy, there is no way you can tell i have extensions and I am just trilled. She is sweet, professional, caring and talented, I walked out of The Lab Salon feeling like I haven't felt in years, thank you Abby you are a keeper and I will recommend you to any person that crosses my path.

Misty provides a touch of professionalism unlike no other. I have followed her from various salons and will not trust anyone else with my hair. It started when she did a color correction which some other ?professional? stylist messed up on. After Misty painstakingly corrected it I was sold!! Since then my hair has been absolutely amazing whether she does a cut or color, I?m praised for my hair everywhere I go. I have HIGHLY RECOMMENDED her to everyone in my family, friends, etc? The salon she is currently in is pretty cool, good music, champagne, energetic people. Even though her appointments fill up quickly, it?s always WELL WORTH THE WAIT.

Pros: Misty is awesome, cut, color, trust no one else!!

Cons: Parking at the meter a real pain, my secret is to park at rite aid or the 2 hour free parking lot.

Shirin was the BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!! ....these days hairstylists are exactly like con artists / hustlers; telling u what u want to hear just so they can make money. But my experiance with Shirin, was not like that.. Shirin was really professional, well experianced yet really funny and sweet. She surveyed my tastes and desires and helped me get the style i wanted most and a look that really suited me best.

I Loved my new look as I received compliments left and right from anyone & everyone. I'm so happy I was blessed that she was my hairstylist as I would like to have her do my hair from now on. The salon was designed really nicely and the have the most comfortable shampoo bowl

Pros: A great experiance and a great stylist

CK is the absolute best!! I followed him from Santa Monica to the Lab in Beverly Hills and he's totally worth it! It's taken me two years to find a stylist I love, and I'm so glad I finally found him!

Yesterday was my first trip to see CK at The Lab Salon. Wow! I was surprised by the high level of professionalism and attention to detail. CK is a perfectionist - he does styling, color - everything. He had my hair looking great. The entire experience was tremendous and very relaxing - the extra shampoo, the razor trim, the hot towel treatment. I can't wait to go again.

Thank god CK is now in Beverly Hills! He does such an awesome job at listening you, modifying looks to look best on you and always works his magic to create the best look you have ever had. He does great cuts and color, but man...the his styling is out of this world!!! Thank god I found him b/c I'm never going to leave him!

I met CK at his former salon (now closed) in Santa Monica after I moved to Los Angeles from New York - and followed him to his new salon - The Lab Salon in Beverly Hills. I was so relieved to know he was still close enough for me to keep him as my stylist. CK is unbelievable ? he is one of those stylists who can do it all. I can go if I need a cut, color, blow-dry ? he even did a beautiful updo for a special night out! (He has also added eyelash extensions, although I have not tried them yet). I don?t know how he does the color so perfectly, but I have never had such beautiful color and natural highlights. He is very meticulous and actually LISTENS to what you want and makes suggestions for you to consider. You can relax in his chair because you know you are going to look your best when he is finished. You just feel his confidence as he works. And he is SO NICE ? he makes you feel comfortable from the time he greets you until you leave. He even gave me a list of styling tips to help keep that ?salon? look between cuts. Having had a former stylist in Beverly Hills, I was worried about the ?snooty? reputation of some salons, but the Lab Salon has great energy ? you can tell the stylists like each other and their work. And even though the salon is located in Beverly Hills, it is no more expensive than Santa Monica. The Lab Salon is not a huge salon, but they are expanding to the space next door. There is metered parking and several lots close by. Finding CK is the best thing that ever happened to my hair (I almost hate to give away my "secret") - you will never want to go to anyone else again!

I found CK at his previous salon and when he told me he was moving I said that I would follow him anywhere he goes. He's that good. CK not only gives you the desired look youre going for but he is so easy to get along with you would think that you've known him for years. Dont go to anyone else in LA except CK. Even if youre reading this review and having doubts you owe to yourself to give him a try and Im assured you wont be disappointed. CK will make you feel and LOOK like a million bucks. I cant wait to see him again!

I have had two prior experiences with CK from a previous salon. I was hesitant to follow him from the west side to Beverly Hills because I did NOT want to be stuck in some snooty salon. The Lab has a great vibe with eclectic stylists...CK is THE BEST, no doubt!!! If you want great color, cut, eyelash extension, CK is your man. Treat him well and he will treat you like a queen (or king, if that's more your thing). Look forward to the expansion!!!

Nicole is my savior, she totally fixed my "red hair" disaster from another salon and even spruced up my cut. She did a fantastic job and totally understood what I wanted in my cut and color. I can't wait to go back and for a fresh cut and color!

Loved the space too, everyone was really nice and it felt like a very relaxed environment.

From the minute I arrived for my appointment, I felt as though I was not the main concern of my stylist. It only got worse as my beverage was "flat" and it was so noisy that RELAXING was not even an option. If you like unprofessional, this place is your best bet and somewhat comical.
