The beauty of the internet is we can fight back to businesses that steal from us! I called LA Fidelity by accident trying to get in touch with the car stereo business up the street on the same side of the street. The owner Tony answered the phone and told me that he could match any price that they offered and could do the job right away. He charmed me into coming to his place and then sold me on a "better" unit for the same price. Turns out - he didn't carry the actual unit I wanted - but he sold me on the "better" unit for the same price. I left my vehicle there and showed up a few hours later. They were too busy then - to show me how to use the unit, so I just left. I called him the next day because the radio cannot pick up local stations and he told me to bring it in when I had the time. When I finally got the time to bring it it - he tried to tell me no aftermarket radio (this one was 300.00) makes a radio with decent AM radio. I cannot listen the local news on this radio because of interference. He did however tell me that he could "fix" the problem for a "charge". Really? Why didn't you tell me that BEFORE you sold me the unit? The agreement was he would take this radio out and install the unit that I was going to get at the "original" dealer up the street ( which I had already installed in my other vehicle & love it) and I would be penalized by him NOT giving any warranty on the new unit and I would have to agree to that. Because the Eclipse unit is garbage - I agreed to it - so he said he would get the unit and change it out - THAT WAS WEEKS AGO - AND I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM SINCE! So - as it stands - he has my money - and I cannot even hear the news on a $300.00 radio. Who's ripping off who here? RUN - get away from this "dealer" - I feel like I was totally hustled! And Tony - if you want this truthful blog taken down - CALL ME AND GIVE ME WHAT I PAID FOR! Consumers need to FIGHT BACK!

Pros: NONE what so ever!

Cons: Quick talking used car salesman sales tackets - I feel coned!

We took our 2002 T-Bird to Car Fidelity on Lankershim and put our trust in Tony and the crew. What a smart decision that turned out to be. Not only do they really know their stuff, but they couldn't have been nicer. We randomly popped into the shop in the middle of the job and were blown away by the care they were giving the car (right down to covering the classic blue gear shift during installation of the Alpine amplifier). And no BS. Tony told us exactly what was needed to get a quality outcome and then delivered. Bottom line: they do the job right and take pride. And at a reasonable price too. So, if you want the peace-of-mind of knowing that your car is being taken care of while it gets that fantastic audio upgrade, Car Fidelity on Lankershim is the place to go. Been there 40 years (Tony been there 20). 5 star experience for us. We certainly recommend it to anyone in LA that cares about quality car audio. Thanks Tony and Nate.
