Hair by Flora @ Burbank Town Center

I had a wedding to go to last Sunday so I needed to get my hair done. I called Flora and made an appointment to see her on Sat. After reading all the great reviews I just decided to let her do her thing. She gave me a rich chocolate brown color with bronzy highlites to match the tan I got on my vacation not to long ago. I am glad I found a stylist that is very knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Thank you very much Flora and I will definitely see you again soon.

Flora is professional, sweet, and even feeds you cakes and coffee. More important, I got the best haircut I've had since leaving New York 20 years ago. And it held after I washed it. Flora is my hairstylist now!!!

Flora gave me the best haircut since I left Europe !! Fantastic! She considers everything, like the shape of your face, your body type, height, weight, the texture of your hair, concerns, ect. Flora is a great stylist and asks what you want but also advises with a lot of experience to back it up. She has great taste and explains why she thinks something will be flattering. She's kind and fit me in same day (on a Saturday!). I'm always nervous to go to a new person but I can't afford to go to my previous stylist and travel all the way to Santa Monica. Flora is so reasonable priced for the quality you are getting!!!
She's awesome and I'm definitely going back.

I was avoiding letting just anyone do my hair as I am new to the Burbank area, but after reading the reviews on city search about hair by flora I decided to see for myself. I had a new years party to go to and my hair was dark with light highlights. Flora convinced me to change my color because under dim lights the color contrast was very obvious and made me look older. She totally changed my appearance and made me look like a totally different person. My husband hardly recognized me when I got home. I felt really good about my new look and received many compliments from my co-workers that night. Thank you Flora for making me look so beautiful. Thank you and Happy New Year.

No more bad hair days since I found Flora. Praise God for the Internet! I just moved to the Burbank area and was in need of a good haircut, having whacked at it myself! I did my usual investigative work whereby I ask strangers whose haircuts I like, where they got it cut. But this time that approach was not my answer. Instead, I searched the Internet and read all the reviews on Flora. When I called for an appointment she was able to schedule me right away, (a real plus) and I could tell by her voice she would be a friendly soul. Not only was she indeed very charming, my haircut and color is the best I have ever received. The royal treatment she gave me with cake, candy, and tea made me feel like a true queen. She took her time with my cut, and made sure everything was to my liking. We agreed on a plan of growing my hair out a little and I look forward to seeing her again and working the plan. My husband was so thrilled with my new look that he even told me again this morning how much he loved it. Most of all.....I am thrilled, and my husband is very happy with that! I am known throughout the kingdom as THE HAIR LADY. When I am unhappy with my hair, ain't nobody happy!!! Anyone who would not be thrilled with Flora's service needs their head examined. SHE IS PROBABLY THE BEST I HAVE EVERY FOUND. I move around a lot so I would know! Try her, you will not be sorry! Thank you Flora, you truly made my week!

I made an appt. with Flora based on other reviews here at CitySearch, and am so glad I did. Aside from doing exactly what I asked her to and having my hair turn out just the way I wanted (actually it was even better than anticipated), Flora is by far the nicest hairstylist I have ever been to. She was friendly, made me feel completely relaxed, brought me a plate of fresh fruit and, while I was under the dryer, periodically came by to ask if everything was okay. I am used to being placed under the dryer and then abandoned while a stylist does someone else's hair! I had grown my hair out for a year, waiting until it was long enough for the style I wanted. I told Flora I still wanted it to grow a bit longer, but at the same time wanted to incoporate some layering. She knew exactly what to do. My hair was also extremely dry and damaged from going to the cheap places for color/highlights. She gave me a wonderful conditioning treatment, and instead of putting me under a dryer, she has a warm steam machine - very expensive but better for the hair. Nice to find someone who invests some of her profits in what's best for her clients! I have never seen this machine at any other salon. Flora touched up my roots, gave me the conditioning treatment, as well as a haircut. I am so happy with the results, especially how soft my hair still is 3 weeks later! She gave me some wonderful tips on makeup, skincare, and products for my hair - all at MY request - she never tried to sell me anything. In fact, she does not sell any products! I immediately went on eBay and purchased all the items she had recommended for my face - and wow is there a difference! So, not only did I get a great hair experience, I also got some great skincare tips that have made my complection much smoother and brighter! I am so glad I went to Flora, and will be a regular client from now, on! Angela

The other reviewers weren't joking - Flora is really nice, professional and talented! This was my first visit with her and I'm excited about future visits. I'm trying to grow out a hair cut and style that's not working for me, so I told Flora what I wanted and she knew exactly what I was talking about. I really appreciate that she explained each step of the color and cut process & the benefits of doing it her way versus "traditional" methods. I also appreciate the instructions she gave me for caring for my color in between visits and what we should do next time to get my hair out of the final "in between" stage.

I called Flora and made an appointment after reading her reviews. I wanted to change my hair and give it a more summer look. Flora gave me some recommendations on what will go with my skin tone and at first I was hesitant, but when I saw the final product I was extremely happy. She also honored my 15% off coupon as I was a first time customer from citysearch. I will be a customer for many years to come. Thank you Flora you're the best.

I called Flora up and make a appointment and got in the next day. She is very nice and really takes her time with you and she explains everything to you before she cuts it. I found my hair stylist. My cut looks good and wish it still looked as good as when she did it the first time. Got good reviews from my husband and sons.

After reading the wonderful reviews about Flora I decided to call her and make an appointment. The salon is the in the Burbank Mall on the second floor with plenty of parking. Flora is just a sweetheart and I felt very comfortable with her working on my hair. I am a gal in my late 30's and I've had my hair done at a few other salons, but for the first time in my life I had a wonderful haircut because it corresponded with my face which is square shaped. Flora suggested a red brown color that complimented my facial features more and I walked out with a radiant and new image I am very happy and I got a lot of compliments at work the next day, and at a corporate meeting on Wed. Thank you very much Flora. If you want to look fashionable and elegant you have to call Flora.

I called Flora on Sat and was surprised she took me in at 5 pm after finishing up with a client. She was very professional and courteous and did a great job on my hair. I just needed a quick trim and color and I was out in time for my date that night. She uses the best colors and you can surely tell her 15 year experience after she is done with your hair. Thank you.

Upon reading the reviews on Flora, I decided to give her a call the same day, which happened to be Valentine's Day! She was extremely friendly on the phone and was available to take me in for color that same afternoon. Super accommodating which was a plus. Her location is in the TRENDZ Hair Salon, 2nd floor by Mervyns but has no affiliation w/ TRENDZ so don't call the place - only the number up top. I got there 10 minutes early and she was ready to take me in. I had brought my 8 year old daughter as well and she was such a wonderful host, offering her cupcakes & candy and didn't seem to mind she was there. Flora always made sure she was comfortable and was very sweet to both of us. It's been years since I colored my hair (it's naturally black) and wanted a boost of natural looking highlights. She was very helpful and knowledgeable on what to suggest for my hair. The products she uses are top notch so you get what you pay for along with the great service. No added sales pressure at all and actually recommended something so I won't have to come back for touch-ups in 5 months! Unheard of right? She told me the price before she got started and gave me the 15% Citysearch discount as well. She certainly made me feel like a new person. The highlights turned out amazing (not to mention it knocked off at least 5 years from me) and she gave me a quick trim that made the shape of my face look more defined. Wow. As I walked out into the mall I seriously had heads turning!!! One guy already gave me a compliment within 10 minutes. You gotta love that! I felt so at home with her and my daughter too. She is worth your hard earned money for she has the whole package, not just the talent. My husband loved my new look and my kids too. So what are you waiting for? Stop looking for better reviews and start having heads turning for you! Call Flora!!!

Just amazing. Flora did my cut and color which turned out perfect. I let her use her best judgment on how to color my hair, since it hadn't been colored in several months and was grown out. I just wanted something that would look flattering and natural. She delivered and then some. She has a great manner about her and I was completely comfortable the entire time. Her prices initially felt steep to me, mostly because I usually have a friend cut my hair for free. However, THEY ARE WORTH EVERY PENNY. It was money very well spent and I scheduled my next appointment on the way out.

I recently moved here from Nevada and was very anxious about finding a new stylist after having the same one for 8 years. I went to another local salon in Burbank and had a bad experience there which led me to neglect my hair for a couple more months. By the time I went to see Flora my hair was a disaster. She made me feel totally comfortable. Right away I could tell that she is knowledgeable about her trade and the products she uses. She recommended a cut and color that would suit my face and skin tone , and it turned out lovely. She also gave me some tips on how to protect my hair from the chlorine. She was gentle and I had no problems with her technique like I have had with others. I have found my new stylist! Great experience, thank you Flora!

I have a relatively simple hairstyle and it's hard to make it spectacular. I went to Flora on a recommendation from a friend and had a fabulous experience. The people at the salon were all friendly and Flora is a doll - so much fun to talk to and a very good listener. Flora took her time doing my hair, and was very Professional. I was very happy with the end results. Great experience.

Today was my first trip to Hair by Flora, and I plan on making it my regular salon. Most salons make me a little uneasy with the air of pretension, this place was different, the desk staff and stylists seem really at ease and happy to be there. Flora took my basic idea of what I was looking for and produced a cut well beyond my expectations; furthermore, she has a glowing personality. If she is available I highly recommend her chair.
