Airmakers was great. My only complaint is that they took a little longer to complete the job than we had expected. Other than that, you cant beat their price (better than anyone else we spoke with) and the Rheam heat pump they installed works like a charm. Fits nicely in our back yard where it is out of the way for the kids. They were very careful to put in the right spot for us. I would use Airmakers again and in fact will call them for yearly service because I like them so much. I have also referred them to two of my neighbors and they are really pleased with the work as well.

Better to have one and not need it than to not have one and need it. Our old furnace was shot so we called Airmakers (because they had so many good reviews on the internet). An inspector came to my home and got the old thing working, but we pretty much new it was not going to last so we just got a quote from him to install a new one. he gave us a great price and the installation was clean and quick. Now, if the weather gets cold again, we're ready.

...the technician was a few minutes late to the appointment, but he apologized once he got there. Really, he was quite a nice young man. The system he installed works fine and the price was certainly right. Overall, fine job, just call when you know you're running a little behind.

Our furnace went out and as you know, it's been cold lately. Airmakers came out the same day we called, got to work immediately and fixed the probelm. i was so surprised at theprice and almost felt guilty that I wasn't paying him more.
Very cool dude and did excellent work. I'm happy to say our furnace is working great and we're all toasty for the holidays.

I love companies with great customer service. Airmakers is exactly that. The two guys that came out were totally cool and didnt charge me too much. They were cheaper than any other company I called, but the customer service was unbeatable. They came out the next day, did their work and were done very quickly. They stayed a little longer to answer some questions and said if I ever needed anything to call and theyd send someone right back out.
This is a great HVAC contractor. I love my new air conditioning unit.

Airmakers gave us the best price of anyone we called. But what really impressed us was how nice the guy was when he came over. Before he did so, though, he asked us to write a review when he was done. That made us feel pretty good that he asked BEFORE the appointment and not after. We knew we were going to get more than just a good price, and we did. We got a new heat pump and now are ready for the cold and the heat. Everything runs terrifically. I am happy to give Airmakers a five start review. Great job guys!

I love giving companies great reviews and am very happy to give one to Airmakers heating and air. This has got to be the best San Diego heating and air conditioning contractor in the area. The last few reviews I have given to companies online were pretty bad and I was starting to feel like a grumpy old woman. LOL! So I was very happy to come across AirmakersI was almost rooting for them. LOL. Turns out, Airmakers has delightful customer service.
I dont know anything about heating and air, just what I learned from the technician that came out. He was very helpful. In fact, I still dont know what hvac stands for. I think he told me, but whoops! Airmakers is a wonderful company and they get 5 stars! Yaaaaaaaeeeeeh!!!!!

I would like to commend Airmakers heating and air conditioning for giving us a great price on our HVAC system and for doing such a great job. I called Van to come out and take a look at our heat pump and he was out that same day. He was extremely nice and knowledgable and he gained our trust very quickly. This is the type of company that you hope to get. Its never easy having contractors come into your home, but Van made us feel very comfortable.
The best part is that he gave us a price that was far better than anyone else we called. We had seen so many good reviews of Airmakers on the internet, but yo are never sure if they are legitimate or not. Well, I can easily say that everything you read here is absolutely true. Great company and great price for heating and air.

I first called Airmakers because I was looking for a San Diego HVAC company for my rental home in southern California and I found all these good reviews on Insider Pages and Google. they have a bunch in City Search as well, but you can never tell if a the reviews are real or not so I gave them a call.
I was pleasantly surprised and can honestly say i believe all the reviews. The owner, Van, gave me a good price and set an appointment the same week i called. He showed up when he said he would and did the work with another crew member.
Everything worked out fine and I have no complaints. It's pretty difficult for me to give anyone a perfect score, but Airmakers comes about as close as anyone. This is a solid San Diego heating and air contractor.

Van was great with my parent's. They are elderly and need my help on things like this, but I really don't know much about San Diego heating and air conditioning contractors either. So when we hired Airmakers, we were afraid the price might be too high, but it wasn't. Van gave my parents a great deal and a great price, even after doing what seemed to be a lot of hard work on the furnace.
Thank you Van for being so good with my parents. The price of your work was an unexpected surprise - much less than we feared.

World class is how I would rate Airmakers heating and Air Conditioning. I called Airmakers one afternoon because of all the good reviews they have. It seems everyone likes their customer service. They did not disappoint. The crew arrived after I had called them last minute and got right to work replacing my furnace since it hadn't worked for over two years. They were done in a very short while and went over everything they did. They even charge me less than what they expected it to cost because the old furnace came out so easily.
Van, who I think is the owner, said something that I really appreciate. Before he came out, he asked me to write an honest review for him on the internet. I've been asked this before, but never before work began. Always afterward. That's honesty! I was fully prepared to write a negative review if that is how it turned out, but I am very pleased with Airmakers service and price. For San Diego heating and air conditioning, they've got to be the best in the area.

We're very happy with Airmakers. I'm new at this so Ii don't know what to say. He came out and inspected my system at no charge and we agreed that it was old and should be replaced, which I already knew, but it was good to check anyway. He even said I could get more out of it if I wanted to just have him do the repairs, but I decided to have a new furnace put in, which he did for a very reasonable price. He and his worker cleaned up after they left and were very professional. I would refer Airmakers for heating and air conditioning.

Fantastic service! I called Van on Tuesday late afternoon, he was able to fit us into his schedule before noon on Wednesday. He quickly fixed our wall heater and took the time to teach us how to maintain our heater so we don't have a similar problem in the future. His price was VERY reasonable. A true professional that I would recommend without hesitation!

Van at Airmakers is my hero. He fixed our heater within 24 hours, when everyone else I called wouldn't even come out to look at it in less than 4 days.
He was friendly and polite. He took time out of his already very busy day to help us. And I don't think anyone would have given me a better price or better service. I will only call Airmakers from now on. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Van ! You're the best.

It was in the summertime and our air conditioning unit went out again. Airmakers came out the same day and gave us a quote right there. They quoted us a superb price so we had the new unit installed and it has been working well since that point.
Granted, we haven't had an opportunity to use the heating since winter isn't here yet, but we're saving big money on our electricity bill. They also told us of a $1500 discount from the government, which saved us more money. My only complaint is that there had been a huge amount of noise in the install. We have a baby that kept waking up, but I assume that could be a little sacrifice to pay for only a half day.
Overall, I would like to recommend Airmakers, their service was great and they actually did a fine job for us.

Last summer my AC unit stopped working and Van came out with one of his technicians and fixed the problem right there. He even gave me a whole bunch of tips to keep the system running smoothly.
I called two other companies, both of which are listed in this directory, and they both wanted to replace my entire system. I didn't have the money for a new system so I called Airmakers, who said they'd come take a look at it first and see what was needed. They did and now i haven't had a single problem with it since.
If you want honesty and trust, go with Airmakers.

I don't think I've ever given anyone a perfect review,but Airmakers comes about as close as anyone. I decided to call them because I needed a San Diego HVAC company and they had a lot of good reviews on the internet. I mean, these guys are all over the place so I decided to give them a shot. glad I did. they gave me a great price and came out and did the job in the same week i ordered it. no complaints. this is a good, solid San Diego heating and air contractor and i would use them again...and thanks for the great price on installation!

I was looking for a San Diego heating and air conditioning company to fix the furnace at my parent's home. They are elderly and need my help for a lot of things so I called Airmakers and explained the situation to Van. He came out immediately and was very patient and polite with my parents and understood that they were on a fixed income.
After spending a lot of time and what seemed to be a lot of hard work, we were afraid the price might be more than my parents could afford so I was prepared to help them.
How pleasantly surprised we were to find out that the repairs were less than $100. I think Van knew he could have charged more, but didn't. He gave us an outstanding price for so much work.

My furnace had been broken for 2 years and Van and his crew came up and replaced it very quickly and easily. They came out the same day I called. Now I have heat!!! I love heat! Anyone who thinks it doesn't get cold in San Diego has never been to San Diego in the winter.

I have been very impressed with the service at Airmakers. If you need any service work done to your air conditioning unit i recommend this company. I would have given them 5 stars but the directions to their shop were unclear so i give them 4 stars.
Our A/C broke and I looked for a local A/C repair to save money. I was close in calling a big company that have commercials in TV but I decided to go to a local business and searched through the internet. I located Air Makers (owned by Van), a family-owned business. I screened their BBB score which is A-. I decided to call them and it took them two days to repair my A/C because they have to replace the motor. They have an Outstanding service and I like to support local family owned business. Keep up the good work Air Makers!!!

They had a pretty good discount combined with the $1500 tax credit and the savings from having an efficient system, this was the best value I could have possibly gotten.

I just like family owned businesses. The service you get from them is typically so much better. Airmakers is no exception. Top notch service and great people, from the telephone staff to the really nice technicians that came out. And they gave me some pretty good discounts as well. I was surprised by how much lower they were than the other San Diego heating and air companies.
They worked a good deal for me. The guy who came out said that he would install a system that worked well and that was affordable. He did exactly as he promised. Would definitely use them again if I had to.
