Simply a great place for barbecue in Culver City. Jim and his staff are not only polite and attentive, but also quite generous. Plus, their barbecue sauce is the best around.

This place is awesome. The mesquite wood flavor really shines through. I love the chicken because it melts in your mouth and I love the salmon for the smokey flavor. Get the grilled corn and grilled veggies too. Lots of heathly, delicious food.

I love this place: I've been going here since they had their old location near the Washington building. An excellent dry-rub BBQ with terrific sides. I really like the tri-tip on salad, and the beans and bread are great. Very hearty but not greasy or heavy...and it always smells great when I walk by. I also like having a reasonably priced place near the movie theaters...go for Santa Maria over Daphne's or Chipotle--you'll be glad you did.

Pros: Terrible food.. tough meat and NOT A SANTA MARIA BBQ!

Cons: Just over priced for the food quality and for what you get...

Santa Maria Barbeque has pulled pork, tri-tip, and chicken in sandwiches, bowls, and plates. The sandwiches would be for light eaters and the bowls and plates for more hearty appetites. Lunch is ordered at the counter and the food brought to you, while there is staff to wait on you for dinner. The restaurant has a sports bar feel to it, since there are several large screen TVs, usually with sports programming.

The food is very good, although it took some time to get our food during dinner, but to be fair, we had a large group of 20 people.

Recommended when you're in the mood for barbeque.

Pros: Food was really good, but didn't have bbq sauce on it.

Cons: Horrible, awful service!!

Santa Maria turned me back on to BBQ after years of despising this genre of food. I love their hot, BBQ chicken sandwich on a mid-sized, warm, soft French baguette. The fries aren?t done crispy, leaving their potato flavor in tact, though

Nice location in Culver City. The bbq is mediocre at best though. There is plenty of much better bbq in LA though and we will not be visiting this restaurant again. The potato salad was grossly sweet. The ribs were ok. Pork was bland.

I've been here many many times and love mixing their own BBQ sauce with their assortment of Tabasco sauces to give it a real kick. I really like their bread they give you on the side. Their rice is cooked nicely as well.

This little hole in the wall is home to some of the best tri-tip on the Westside. I highly recommend the tri-tip plate. There is a nice patio to sit outside and people watch.

These folks are extremely friendly & do a great job at the farmers markets around Los Angeles. I would recommend only one thing. Slice the tri-tip for the sandwiches rather than chop it. It's still agreat sandwich.
