I recently made a call to Avis in Yuba City to get information about the availability of vehicles to determine the vehicle I wished to rent while my car was in the shop. It was my intent to rent a vehicle that would accomodate my family, and get relatively good gas mileage - as my primary transporation to drive to work in Roseville as a RN at SRMC. The staff was tremendously and unacceptably rude. I was belitlled by the service assistance when I was indecisive regarding the vehicle I wished to rent, and depite my initial reaction to hang up due to this individual's less than acceptable attitude - I attempted to continue the call as I was desparately in need of transportation. Rather than continue to be placed on hold and treated disrespectfully, I determined that I would prefer to go in to the facility to visualize the availability of vehicles...this apparently was not acceptable to the gentleman (using this term loosely) I was dealing with as he informed me verbatim "the price quoted to you is only good now, you will not get that price if you do not accept it now for the vehicle you initially discussed".! All I wanted to do was rent a car... and if possible have the luxury to choose the car I wished to rent; I did not find this an unreasonable request! As a potential client/ customer I did not plan on having something forced upon me by a salesperson with a bad attitude. I was a definite potential client, with a definite need for the service of this organization, for me this vehicle was not a luxury but a neccesity; not only that but I was a potential client with a need and available cash to pay for that need. Obviously business is booming at Avis in Yuba City, as they can afford to hire other business's undesireables to assist with losing potential clients due to horrendous disrespectful attitudes..this may be acceptable to some, but I refuse to be treated as such and will proceed to speak up to anyone who wishes to be a patron of this organization.

I reserve my car from here every week. I have seen how things have changed. The new owner is extremely customer service orientated. I always get a clean car and ready for me to pick up when I request it. Things are better at AVIS. I highly recommend him.
