I went online and was comparing prices for car rentals. I found Thirty to be the least expensive and was excited that I could rent a car for a good price. However, sometimes it is true you get what you pay for. It all began when we went to pick up the car, there was one women at the counter on a Friday night and she took 30 mins to help one person. We were waiting so long that we even went to another car rental to see what their price was for the weekend. We should have known then to change companies. So we finally get checkout an hour later and pick up our car. At first it seemed like the long wait was our only cost for a cheap price. However once we got on the road the main windshield began to make noise as we drove. The sound started off small but by the time we were out of LA it grew to a very loud whistle and sounded like a giant hamster wheel spinning. I called Thirty to see if we could exchange the car but they didn't have any other locations in Northern California that we would be near. So we had to drive 16 hours over the weekend in a torture chamber! When we returned the car we asked for a discount only to be curtly told by the manager on duty that they only offer a 15% discount for ""mechanical problems"". When I asked him if he could do better, he just replied, ""No"", not even an apology for the HUGE inconvenience and literal headache. You can be assured that I will pay the extra $15 and go with Budget or another higher quality rental company! Be rare of Thirty and rent somewhere else!
