I absolutely love their hand and cheese biscuits. In fact I love them so much that I'm buying two dozen for the amazing culver city police officers tomorrow. Ssh don't tell ?? the macaroons, panini sand coffee are also good.

Surfas Cafe is an amazing deli style coffee, pastries and sandwich/panini haven. I have had the lobster panini and the grilled veggie panini. Both delicious and worth the $10. They are served with a nice mixed green salad. Their to-go boxes are superior also, so if you need a boxed lunch, it is a great choice. I did NOT like their tuna sandwich. A little to capery, sour flavored. I think though, anything else is a thumbs up. Pleasant outdoor seating and high top tables inside too. Nice to get a bite and not shop hungry at the chef's paradise in the store area!

Located in the midst of Culver City's burgeoning arts district the cafe is attached to the restaurant supply store of the same name. Cozy inside, with a large outside covered patio. The food is consistently well prepared, with ingredients that can be purchased on the spot. The portions don't look large, but they are filling and satisfactory. The espresso is good. Perhaps a little pricey (share a bag of chips with your friends), but always worth it. The rotating menu includes seasonal salads, a Kobe burger, and even a hot dog. The store supplies L.A.'s top chefs with supplies for their eateries.

Frankly, any meal of sandwiches, chips and a drinks for a family of five that costs over $75 is ridiculous. Yes, the food is made fresh. Yes, the taste was decent. But, the prices are way out of line.

Cafe Surfas is a part of the restaurant supply store of the same name. As such the cafe emphasizes European style sandwiches, paninis and sides. They also have excellent salads. While a little pricey they use excellent ingredients that create a top notch take out lunch.
