It's hard to put into words how amazing this school is. My oldest son started here three years ago and my twins a few months ago and I've never seen them happier. The place is the best place for kids to not only be educated and have fun, but also be nurtured by an amazing staff. I actually breathed a sigh of relief when my youngest two started because I feel safe and happy all during the hours that my children are there. We have never come in contact with a teacher or staff member who was anything less than amazing. They are all warm, kind, loving and dedicated to keeping up individual relationships and open communication with every student and parent. They will answer your call, email, questions any time of the day and are happy to help you work out any solutions to problems big or small that your child might be having.

Along with the staff, the facilities are top notch. I can't get my children to leave the grounds at pick-up because they want to stay and play on the multiple playgrounds that include jungle gyms, sand boxes, water tables, a music garden, a drama stage, sports areas and a bike riding/imaginary play area. And inside the classrooms are all of the tools needed for a fun, learning environment from toys and play kitchens to tactile activities for developing motor skills.

The school's ability to incorporate fun into learning is truly unique. There are so many days I wish I could be a student to participate in the petting zoo, snow-day, carnivals, theme-days and more. And every day of the week the school brings in special teachers for extra-curricular activities such as music, dance, Legos, karate, sports and Spanish so the kids get a wide variety of physical and mental education. The arts and crafts projects are extremely unique and every week they incorporate some sort of cooking or baking into the schedule. Not to mention the abundance of outdoor play time which is so wonderful to take advantage of in California.

All of these amazing fun and exciting perks for students and parents and still my son has gotten an amazing education. At 4.5 he can count to 100, recognize every letter of the alphabet and spell some words, asks very insightful questions and knows a little bit of Spanish and Hebrew.

Honestly, I would never hesitate to tell anyone that this school is the best place for a child's education to begin. My husband and I have tried to move out of the area several times, but can't seem to do it because we couldn't stand the thought of our children attending any other preschool.

We love everything about Growing Garden and our kids absolutely LOVE going to school every day! We were very picky and shopped a lot of schools before selecting Growing Garden for our twins preschool. They are now in the Kindergarten class and we could not be happier with our choice.

The teachers at Growing Garden are smart, kind and caring, creative, playful and patient. They are wonderful at nurturing independence, helping the kids solve their own problems and giving hugs when needed. The classrooms are beautiful and stimulating, with tons of natural light, a variety of open areas and play stations, arts and crafts, family photos, artwork, and reading nooks. The outdoor play areas offer something fun for all ages ranging from sand and play structures, to a bike yard with a ball court. The curriculum is Reggio Emilia based which encourages the kids to explore, ask questions, and create their own hypotheses. My kids are always coming home telling me about a new experiment they did in class and what they learned from it. They also rave about the enrichment classes including Spanish, Legos, dance, music, cooking, karate and more. On top of all that, the school features special events such as Snow Day, Farm Day, Election Day and numerous holiday celebrations. They welcome parents into the classroom any time and regularly send us photos of the kids in action.

As parents, we especially appreciate the community. Sara Mintz, the Director, is around almost every day, catching up with parents and greeting the kids, and she is continually looking for ways to make the school better. The staff is equally welcoming and available to help. The school embraces families of all kinds, non-Jewish, interfaith and observant; and we have been welcomed into our teachers and school leaders homes for dinners on several occasions. As an added bonus, Growing Garden parents rock! They are friendly, supportive and inclusive, always helping one another and keeping each other informed.

Suffice it to say, we have had an amazing experience at Growing Garden and we feel that our children are well prepared for their next step. We cannot recommend this school highly enough!

Both of my kids go to Growing Garden and we couldnt be happier. We are greeted each morning by a smiling face from both the teachers and directors. Its a wonderfully nurturing environment with beautifully kept classrooms.
The school has embraced a Reggio Emilia based curriculum. This empowers the kids to be inquisitive and expressive through exploration. My kids always say how fun school is. Highly Recommended.

I have had two kids at the school over the last 4 years and the kids and us could not be happier. We had a bad experience at our first school, so the second time around we took a lot of time to find the right school. We selected this school despite the 25 min commute each way.

The teachers are very caring, knowledgeable and take time with kids. There is a happy feeling about the school!. GG is very educational, but not forceful. Kids learn a lot, but it is all done in a fun and nurturing environment. My eldest child entered public kindergarten in Palos Verdes this year and we feel that she was very well prepared.

The recent renovations and addition of the baby class have been excellent and is another example of continuous investment in the school.

The school director is very involved, open to suggestions and constantly striving to improve the school. She has built a very open, positive and inclusive environment for kids and parents. She also has done an excellent job of selecting first rate teachers.

Children have a multitude of enrichment activities available to them. There is also an effort to bring inside outside by developing educational facilities outside.
