I recently had a chair reupholstered, that was my deceased Mother in Law, by Coleman??s Upholstery. My husband and I had waited 7 years before we decided to do this as it was hard decision to make to recover a memory. When I contacted Jerry he was on the spot. Returned my phones call and showed up for appt??s on time. When I had picked out a fabric Jerry requested all monies up front, this should have been my first clue. He said it would take a little over a week to get the fabric in and then approx 2 weeks to redo the chair, but no more than 4 weeks. It took 3 weeks to get the fabric and for Jerry to come back and pick up my chair. The returning of the phone calls during this time defiantly slowed. After picking up my chair I let 2 and a half weeks go by with no phone call from Jerry. When I called him it took several times and messages for Jerry to return my call. When he returned my call it was always ??the chair is looking good, it will be done next week?. Next week would come and no phone call or chair. I would then again start to follow up with several phone calls with no response. After 7 weeks of starting this deal with Jerry I left him a message letting him know that he has had ample time to complete the chair. At the 8 week mark he couldn??t, or should I say wouldn??t, work around my work schedule for the delivery of the chair. I was not asking for anything unreasonable. When I made arrangement to have the chair dropped off at my work he would not return my phone calls. After 9 weeks into the project and I finally have my chair. What a disappointment. The stitching on all the seams is very poor workmanship. The seat cushion is lopsided. The chair is a queen ann style chair and the cut outs around the arms are uneven. So very disappointed I wanted to cry when I saw it. I knew Jerry would do nothing to fix it, or like what was standard with him make up excuses. I had waited 7 years to get his chair done and now I wished I would have left it with the original fabric and workmanship that was produced in China. It??s a sad thing when a Small USA company can??t produce good customer service and or a good quality product. If you are thinking of having any work done by Coleman??s Upholstery PLEASE rethink your decision!
