Leaking fuel sesors on Mercedes Vehicles...
Everyday I run into more people with this problem the dealers and Mercedes Benz Corporate are a$$holes about it .If you are lucky they may cover half of the parts and charge you the labor to repair/replace the leaking sensors. Just hope that your gas tank does not need to be replaced. They are getting hundreds of calls a day on these Leaking tanks and sensors. This will end bad for Mercedes One day in the near future someone's house is going to burn to the ground because of leaking Fuel in the garage next to the water heater.

My wife had the problem in her CLK550 2007 The dealer Fletcher Jones of Newport Beach Gave us nothing but trouble and getting the problem fixed her car has 7000 miles on it.
Shame on Mercedes Benz of America and Fletcher Jones Motorcars of Newport CA
For NOT doing the right thing for their Customers. This is a Serious fire and explosion Hazard. The fix can run 1300 dollars all the way up to 3500 dollars if you need a new fuel tank. The estimates online say that as many as a million vehicles are using these defective Sensors (I think it is a lot more)
Keep in mind these sensors are located directly under the rear passenger seats under a access panels. In my wife vehicle we actual smelled the gasoline in the cabin and the garage. Also note all of the leads and electrical lines going into this sensors in contact with the raw fuel/gasoline.

Defective products are not just inconvenient for consumers. When products fail due to bad designs or manufacturing flaws, they can cause injuries and cost consumers significant financial loss. Manufacturers have a responsibility to comply with industry safety standards and to warn consumers of any potential dangers. If physical injury or financial harm results from their failure to do so, and when other consumers have suffered losses similar to yours, the manufacturers may be held legally responsible through class action lawsuits and complex multi-district ligation (MDL).

I am a first time client to Mercedes Benz. Turning 30 this year, I made a promise to myself to get that dream car that I have been turning my neck for every time I would see it drive by. I received Tommy Tran's contact through my close friends who have also bought their cars through him. When I had first contacted Tommy, it was summer of 2011. He didn't haggle me to buy immediately nor gave me any pressure. He was more concern of getting to know me as an individual to give me knowledge of which car would best suit my interest and my lifestyle. Being a first time buyer of a luxury vehicle, I waited until I was ready to purchase- which is summer of 2012. I finally allowed Tommy and his team to assist me with purchasing my first Mercedes Benz!! I went with the E550 coupe of which Tommy bent over backwards to help me with the best rate. I am a pretty indecisive person and I'm sure I was pretty challenging, I can't put into words how I felt when Tommy handed me the keys to my car. I left Fletcher Jones Newport knowing that I not only have my dream car but I've also made amazing great friends!

Run the other way! This place is just awful to try and buy a car from. Save yourself the time and headache of dealing with these crooks, and buy from somewhere else. I ended up buying from Downtown LA Motors, and got 11% off of MSRP of $75,470, and I didn't even have to haggle.

The sales dept is corrupt, judgmental, and flat out liars. Specifically the GM and co-founder, Garth Blumenthal who I was referred to through my wife's friend Sean who works at Newport Beach Lexus. You figure when you have a referral like that, they will treat you differently than someone walking off the street on to their showroom floor.

Garth, made me believe that there is no way any dealer would beat them, and that the GL450 is not a vehicle that can be discounted more than $2k or so. When he had my trust and I was hooked in, he passed me on to James Sullivan of the "Sullivan Team". What a production...and it all went off the cliff from there.

Garth came off as such a super nice guy. I truly liked him right off the bat, and thought he was a class-act. James was polite and attentive at first, and then no communication or anything once he realized I??m not going to be an ??easy? sale.

They won't give you any pricing information and insist you come in. When you start working with them, and if you are looking for a specific car (like I was), and they know you're a serious buyer, they will steal (dealer-trade) that specific vehicle from the only dealership who has it to force you to work with them. Unbelievable! It??s a new low that I??ve never seen nor heard of!

See my review on Yelp for full details of the hell I went through on our 2011 GL450 purchase. Including their lies being exposed by their own emails, which I posted to prove what scum bags they are.

You'll find other people who have encountered similar situations and made the same kind of complaints.

How do they expect to compete in the age of the internet car sales by asking to waste customers' time and asking them to come in? Why do I want to come in if we don't have a "meeting of the minds" on pricing, terms, etc.?

Then they try and sell you a bag of BS about the sticker you'll get as a "premier VIP customer", and the 2 hour free car washes, and shuttle rides to John Wayne airport, and the free Starbucks cappuccino. Are you kidding me? Do people actually buy this crap?

This place has no clue about delivering exceptional value. They are all about the showcase dressing and have ZERO substance to back it up with.

If you're loaded, that's what they want. The typical "money-customer" from Newport Beach and the surrounding area who has no problem paying retails MSRP, or even over that for exclusive vehicles. They don't want the 80% of the market that's normal, hard-working, middle-class people looking for good value.

They had their PR person, Heather call me and apologize, and be super nice. She asked me "what would it take to ask to have my review taken down?". I made it pretty simple. I asked for either a verbal or written apology from Garth, or his boss which would be Fletcher Jones ?? I suppose. That was a moot point, because there is no way that was about to happen.

They are a bunch of pompous, money hungry, slick, car-sales people over at Fletcher Jones Mercedes Benz Motorcars.

Don??t trust them. I feel like I need a shower after this experience.

I just recently moved to Honolulu, HI and found out the Benz dealership here is also a Fletcher Jones.... Just recently had my Benz serviced and nothing but outstanding service also here in Hawaii..... Fletcher Jones has been nothing but great for me..... No one else even compares..... Denise Banner and Dan Schmidt are so helpful and are like family to me... Proud to be a Fletcher Jones Mercedes Owner !!!!!!!

In about 2006 when I was 12 years old my Family and I went to go 'car hunting' we found this beautiful dealership. And I helped my Family pick out the best car possible and even though we weren't able to purchase the car since we bought a new home it just wasn't in our budget. But the main point is no matter what wealth you are Fletcher Jones can Make it happen even though it wasn't in our budget they managed to pull things through and now we own a GL 450 Premier Edition. Since I was young Fletcher Jones was a friendly dealership making car buying fun and affordable with no waste of time hassle. But Until today now that I'm 15 I still do.

Thank You Fletcher Jones for this Grace.

Purchased a CLK over the weekend and I must admit I was a little afraid at first due to the recent reviews of FJMBZ but I soon changed my mind with the professional service my wife and I received, I will from this point forward always purchase my autos from this company. Truly a 5 star experience. Thanks to all ! I will recommend all my family and friends.

Pros: who knows, perhaps they have good coffee in the showroom?

Cons: they are only willing to talk if you waste your time

Simply a step above the rest: began my relationship with fjmbz in 2001 with an sl500 and have purchased or leased 5 additional cars since then ( total of 6 in 8 years); Thomas and andreas are just gentlemen and patricia in the finance dept is just a class act ; steve henry in service is always accountable and goes out of his way ; i dont understand why some people are giving these guys a bad wrap' maybe they should evaluate their expectations; I'll be back in 10 mos to get another car and wont even bother to look at other mbzdealers because there is more to it then just the purchase; Thanks for simply being the best

We're on our third car from Fletcher Jones Mercedes and headed back soon for number four. The selection is amazing, the building beautiful, the cars speak for themselves. What stands out the most for me is the aftercare. The service at FJM is excellent and I recommend service adviser Rick McClellan particularly highly.
