I am a person who has experience in serving for events and hotels. I have worked for several companies and have had the opportunity to be at an event at Uptown Ballroom as a guest. Never have been there and was a bit reluctant about the location. I am however posting my experience because of the comments which I think are not fair.

First I will say that the posts are older and there may be a new owner, I give it that but I was very shocked at how nice the room is. It is like a gem in the middle of a developing area. Very nice inside. The tables looked great. My friends party had a red theme and they did these red ball type of arrangements which looked good by the way. Food was great!

Now for someone to complain about setting up china for 250 when there were 250 guests is stupid. We had enough china, did you guys toss them out or what? Not sure what you mean by that. Hotels charge for china it is up to you to know how many people are coming. Also complaining about money due in full before the event? Give me a break, go to ANY hotel and they demand payment in full before ANY event. I know I have worked at a few. They do not want to do the party and get stiffed after you are done.

Anyway, we had a good time I guess you can't please everyone but I thought it was a really nice place and my friends party was great. I forgot, the one thing I REALLY liked about the place being a musician and having my own recording studio is that this hall was the Musicians Union Hall. This place was built for music and the acoustics in this place are DYNAMITE! that thrilled me. I noticed very large sound filters on the walls, for those of you who have no idea what I mean. They keep the sound from bouncing all over the place and makes or breaks it for great conversation let alone the music. I really appreciated that.

Check the place out, do not let a sour apple form your opinion, you might be surprised as I was.

This is a hidden gem on Del Paso Blvd near Supper Club and Enotria.
Good prices for the hall and they let you bring in your own caterer!
