The staff was very friendly and got me in and out. I have came for maintenance but the prices are pretty high without the use of a coupon.

My daughter & I {she is just finishing law school}.{I'm a practicing M.D}....had the unfortunate experience of spending /wasting over an hour last week test driving a car with a moron/jerk/imbecile/anencephalic named "Randy" at KMT.{complete with a cowboy hat & a "G.W. Bush mentality"} {an oxymoron}. After the drive, we suffered through the usual 101 salemanship,"What do I have to do to have you drive this car away today??"} First of all, have the synapses in your brain line up & connect occasionally!!!! We offered a reasonable price using Edmunds data & mentioned that I knew the owner at Toyota of El Cajon & I intended to get a price from him too. He went to talk to his "clone" {"manager"} & came back to tell us.."We don't sell cars for T of EC so go there!!!}. Also used mucho pressure to get a car on the lot with solar panel she didn't want. When we left in separate cars,he came out & "stalked" my daughter a little longer....bad move !!!! You don't mess with her!!! We'll buy the car anywhere but here. And reading the reviews on insiderpages & yelp,.....why would anyone deal with these yo-yos...for sales or service??? Lotza luck....all bad!!!!! Go anywhere else!!!!!

I bought a used Toyota Land Cruiser here and these guys are awesome! They gave me the Carfax on the vehicle without even me asking for it. They were upfront about the car getting into an accident. The guy even gave me a discount. And

Pros: Not Pushy and Informative

I purchased a toyota tundra here and would never buy another vehicle from them again. The salesman was a jerk. My truck had a small dent in the front fender and he said they would take care of it for me. I took the truck back the following week and they had it on and off for 3 months. I finally spoke with a manager and they ended up giving me the money to take my truck to another dealership to get it fixed right. Do not take your vehicle there if you want it fixed in a timely manner

Looking for a new car can be very time consuming and stressful. The friendly staff at Toyota made is a fun shopping trip. They didn't follow you around and pressure you to buy something. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

I have been bringing my cars (multiple different Toyota models) here for service since the late 80s or early 90s. In that time I have never had a problem with their service. Sometimes they've even surprised me and offered me a free rental car for the day; not sure when/how you qualify for that.

My only complaint would be that I'm now in the market to upgrade my car to a newer (but not brand-new) model and their used-car prices are very expensive. I pointed-out that their NEW cars were approximately the same price, after all the manufacturer rebates that are available now, but they wouldn't budge.

I have been here to have my car serviced many times. They always get it done on time and do a great job. They even came and picked me up once when I had a dead battery.

Kearny Mesa Toyota advertised a specific price on a vehicle in stock, which I was made aware of by the fleet manager. It was advertised for Sunday, but the fleet manager extended the offer to me in writing (by email) while I got a cash down payment and loan approval from my credit union. He also offered to add leather for a written agreed upon price. Within 38 hours, I had the cash downpayment and loan approval. I went to the dealer and accepted the fleet manager's offer. The vehicle was still on the lot and they took me for a test ride. The sales manager told my salesman that the offer I'd been given had expired on Sunday. I explained the written agreement to extend the offer and the leather price. The sales manager said the leather price was incorrect and it would be an additional $198 dollars. I said that wasn't the agreed price, but I'd accept the change. He said he'd have to call the GM about the other agreement. About 20 minutes later the sales manager said the offer would not be honored. He said the fleet manager did not follow protocol and did not get approval to make the offer. He acknowledged that the agreement had been made, because the sales manager checked the fleet manager's email. But, they still would not honor the written agreement. They said they could make the deal if I paid an extra $1300 or so dollars. I explained that I felt the actions of their fleet manager was beyond my control, but a written agreement had been made. If nothing else, customer service would dictate their honoring this agreement. They said no and we left. We were stunned at this blatant rescinding of an offer by their fleet manager to a customer. Your word is who you are, but a written agreement is a contract. This falls within the "bait and switch" parameters, but at the very least, it was outrageous customer service. We remained shocked the whole 50 minute drive home and wondered how a dealership could treat customers in such a fashion.

The sales staff at Kearny Mesa Toyota has very poor customer service skills. My father went in to their dealership through a promotion that they were running, but also to look at their Toyota Sequoias, which my aunt had been eyeing to buy for some time. Their promotion was deceptive, their sales staff were not helpful, and my father was treated horribly.

Luckily my father was able to find a friendlier and more honest GMC dealer, and my aunt is now the proud owner of a brand new Yukon XL.
