If I could give it no or negative stars, I would. Do NOT stay here. The proprietors are worst than incompetent. I had called to book a room here because we had stayed at the Cabins at Strawberry right down the road and loved the location. I was looking for a 2-BR cabin for our family of four plus another family of four. The gentleman who answered the phone said, he had a suite with 1 BR upstairs that had 2 queen beds and another room downstairs with 2 fold-out futon couches. I confirmed, "Oh, 2 bedrooms" and he said, "How many people do you have?" I said that we had 4 adults and 4 kids under 5 in our party and he indicated that the room would be large enough. Well, we get there and not only are there not 2BRs, the upstairs BR has a queen bed and a roll-out cot. Additionally, the "2nd BR" was the living room w/ 2 futon couches. The kitchen was also missing some basic necessities such as a cutting knife, colandar, and eating bowls - making it difficult to truly cook here.

I mentioned to the proprietor that we had expected a 2nd BR given that the price was $190 vs. the $250 we had paid for 3BR at the Cabins at Strawberry. If the man had been gracious and apologized for the misunderstanding, I might have chalked it up to "Live and learn." But the way he responded to my comments, I realized that he knew exactly what he had done - that is, LIED, to us - and for that, I am posting my negative review everywhere

We came to eat here after sledding all day. On our way home we spotted this little gem. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Good place to bring the family for an affordable meal.
