Read a review of a previous client, AND I was totally astonished by his evaluation of the indisputably best service center in the Bay Area. His review was so absolutely vindictive, that I had to wonder if perhaps he had connections with another service center that was a competitor of On Track BMW.

All you have to do is walk into the spotless, flawlessly maintained shop to immediately see that this is one owner who has true integrity and takes the business of servicing BMW's very seriously.

Have been a customer of Jeff's since his shop opened originally in Oakland at least 15+ years ago (as well as when he was previously employed as service manager at the highly acclaimed Hardy and Beck BMW Performance Center in Oakland which has since dissolved), and although his new San Leandro location is not as convenient for us, I would never go to another service center or dealer (talk about rip you off) if my life (car) depended on it.

The owner is the most honest, competent, unbelievably cost effective mechanic I have ever encountered. Jeff, who with his problem solving and diagnostic skills, complimented by his insight, intelligence and resourcefulness, has repaired and maintained both mine and my wife's vehicles for the past 20 years. Our now 18-year old daughter has joined the family as a loyal, repeat, completely satisfied customer, as well. In many instances (even while under warranty), where the dealer had no clue and would charge an arm and leg to attempt and fail to fix deficiencies in our cars, Jeff has continued to succeed in repairing these issues. I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE CENTER TO ANYONE WHO WANTS THE HIGHEST QUALITY SERVICE IN THE ENTIRE BAY AREA.

I want to share with fellow BMW enthusiast my bad experience with this local Auto Repair Shop.

The mechanic and owner JEFF is incompetent and very dishonest!!. I was due for an inspection 1 and my engine service light recently went ON so I decided to bring my car in to a local independent "BMW Specialist".

But before I brought the CAR in I thought I go to my local Auto Zone and pick up one of those diagnostic tools to see what is truly wrong with my car. Got the code P0369 Camshaft Position Sensor B error. To make the idiot owner/mechanic JEFF life's easier I thought I share the code and the name of the part that is suspect.

I, thinking that he will run an engine diagnostic AS PART OF THE INSPECTION 1 service left his place of business with the confidence that a self proclaimed BMW SPECIALIST WITH 30 YRS OF EXPERIENCE (so he claims) will be able to handle a simple OIL CHANGE AND VISUAL CHECK (INSPECTION 1) AND a diagnostic that was practically handed to him. He just needed to run a diagnostic as part of the inspection 1 service to verify.

But to my surprise, the incompetent idiot and so called BMW expert managed to change the wrong camshaft position sensor. Meaning this idiot did not even care to run a diagnostic before changing the part. He called and said that he needed to charge me more to replace the correct part. An additional job that was due to his incompetence.

I basically said no way and just basically told the idiot to not perform any more work on the car. I got my car back and basically paid close to $600 for an oil change and visual check and having the wrong part replaced. Not to mention with a Service Engine light on.

Let my experience be a warning. Avoid ON TRACK BMW located in San Leandro. The owner/mechanic, jeff, is incompetent and dishonest.
