After attending a night at Gilman Bingo my friends and I were appalled at the condition of the building, tables, chairs and overall ambiance, or lack there of. Did you know that when the manager decides there are too many people who bingo on a single jackpot that you are required to forfeit your winnings, he justifies this by raising the amount of the next 2 or 3 games. Now how does that benefit the previous winners? It's a mystery. My friends and I have played a lot of Bingo in many different areas and have never had to forfeit our winnings. Now grant it, sometimes there are so many winners that your cut could be a lot less. But the winnings should still be yours, it's not the money, it's the principle. But this rude manager who lacks integrity and intelligence says to me a paying customer "You're not getting any money if that's what you think! And Miss Preggy (behind the desk, but who is this?) pipes in "Give her a dollar, so she'll shut up and leave".
Now I ask you, is this the way a supposedly non-profit organization should treat a customer who just spent $200 and can't even collect their legal valid Bingo winnings? I was told this was a manager's decision, so basically the manager decides whether or not to give you your valid winnings. This appears to be a common practice according to the players I spoke to at Gilman.
Choose another Bingo Parlor, one where you actually get to collect your winnings.
