Initially stopped in as a lark to check out what's behind the screen door . The outside didn't give me a hint on what to expect. Walking in you sense you may have just been transported and landed in a modge podge of oriental delights. From Thai treats to China tea and everything in between very likely will be discovered as you walk through the narrow aisles glancing over a variety of unique items catering to the Asian palette. Since I am not that acquainted with cooking with these ingredients, had a sense of being out of the loop thinking it be neat to come back more armed with some ideas of recipes that ask for coconut cream, fish oil and miso.
They have one counter at one end featuring the fresh catch of the day and the other end of the store has freshly baked bread, apple and pineapple turnovers along with Asian sweet breads. While on my way out I noticed there was flan in the fridge which seemed a little out of place The golden color and texture was perfect, and after tasting it thought it was one of the most delicious flans ever. Went back several times through the last few years just for the flan. When I first started the price was $3.00, then went up another dollar and then another dollar so now it sells at $6.00. Sure the price of eggs have gone up, but knowing how the flan flies off the shelves, they pretty much found the price that people will pay. After all it's the best flan anywhere!

I come to this place especially for the Manapua. It comes in 2 flavors, chicken and pork, and they are delicious. More meat, then bread. Priced at $4.50 for 3. Large variety of Asian and islander food products. Also carries a variety of fresh fish. Small shop with excellent customer service. Store has been in business for years.

Litas Fish Market has been around for many years.
Selection is good. Prices are fair.
Easy location from Mission Ave. and El Camino Real.
Recommended.
