.

i had been a customer here for 10+ years. i had been hearing a slight grinding noise from my brakes for a while, so i went in yesterday to get a free brake inspection and my tires rotated.

they told me they would have to charge me $57 for a brake inspection because they don't give free brake inspections when people tell them that they are having problems with their brakes. i'm not joking. seriously, do people just wake up one day and decide to have a brake inspection because they are bored? there were no fewer than 3 large signs plastered around the place touting "free brake inspection".

i promptly went down the street to precision tune who inspected my brakes for $20, and applied it to the cost of replacing the pads and resurfacing the rotors which i had done that day also (so free inspection). i guess goodyear didn't want my $500. great business sense they have going on there.

the only thing i can think is that if people come in with definite brake issues they figure they are desperate to get them fixed and they don't need the free inspection to rope them in. who knows though really.
