I haven't been to a salon for color in years because I did it myself until I decided I wanted to go back to my natural color with a light ombre effect so that I can let it grow without dying. Let me tell you they are not "color specialists" Its nothing how it was supposed to look, the ombre is horrible and after bleach washing it to take it from a 4 to a 6/7 it ended up at 5 so she bleached it for no reason basically. My hair is so damaged because Tischia forgot about me and flew around the corner to check on me after another stylist noticed me sitting there for a while and getting very anxious, the bleach was in my hair for 3 hours! When she trimmed my hair, she didn't even comb it out (more like couldn't because it was so dead) all the way and still took the scissors to it. Who does that?? The owner Lynn took no responsibility and cared more about protecting her employee than she cared about me (the client) or my hair. I wanted my money back so I could go to a professional but all I was offered was a $10 deep condition. Its been 2 weeks and I still haven't (can't) worn my hair down, and the comments when I got home were not what I was expecting after a $180 trip to the salon!

I visit the shopping center where this salon is often, and always wondered why the parking lot of a salon with such a cool sign was always so empty. That should have been my red flag right there.
I went in one day out of curiosity to get some peak-a-boos. I let the girl know that I get my color done from someone else because I want it lighter blond than my natural and told her pretty much everything I normally do to my hair because she made it a point that she didn't wanna take responsibility if anything was messed up. Second red flag! I wasn't worried though because this lady was old and she was the owner of the salon so I thought she knew what she was doing.
To cut a long story short, my hair has pretty much disappeared from the bottom layers. It breaks any time I wash it, blow dry it, brush it, flat iron it, etc.
I went to another salon to get it cut shorter so it wouldn't look so unhealthy and dead and the girl there told me that my hair is breaking off because the girl at brookelyn put too much bleach on there. I thought we were trying to avoid that by giving her my hair history??
All I know is if the salon owner doesn't care about clients, why should any other stylist there care?

Although I have not personal used the salon I did have a great experience with their customer service. I used the website to contact the salon for an appointment and within a couple of hours received a call from someone to schedule me. A conflict had come up and I did not make it in that day but will for sure use their salon in the future because of their timely response to my email. I have used email functions for salons before and no one ever got back to me, I was happy to see how serious they took the contact us through the website. Good job guys!
