It is after numerous attempts on my part to reason with this gym to rectify my situation that I am forced to leave this review. Please please if you are considering this gym, THINK AGAIN. You have much better options close by.

When visiting the Menifee 24/7 for your initial walk through, they will tell you about all the money they "plan" on spending to make your gym experience more enjoyable.

You will be told that the gym is a grand work in progress and that there will be many things to look forward i.e. more group exercise classes, tanning booth, zero gravity yoga, more machines etc.

After being a member here for approximately 6 months, I can tell you for a fact that its just an illusion. Once the smoke and mirrors subside you begin to see this gym for what its is.

A small dirty cage.

If you are an avid fitness junkie, I can guarantee you will not be satisfied with the amount of equipment provided here. If you like to squat and or deadlift, get ready to wait in line for the 1 squat rack provided. I can't tell you how many times I showed up for leg day and was forced to work out something else.

Furthermore, when you work up enough courage to confront management about these promises, you are simply swept under the rug as if you no longer a concern to them. Then once you ask to be canceled, you are quickly threatened with legal repercussions.

This place makes me ill.

I feel RIPPED OFF & TRAPPED.

AGAIN PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR OPTIONS.
Don't sign your life away with these people.

There are a few things that bother me with this gym. First off they have to give you a complete tour and make everything sound so great and then they roll out the price list and crush what you thought was going to be a good experience. I opted for the two week trial for $19 and at first everything was great but as time went on, going to the gym is more annoying than anything. There is never any parking, there are tons of serior citizens that are sent over from Walker Physical Therapy (who owns the gym) and lots of people just sit and chat and take up space that isn't there with how packed it always is. All that wouldn't be so bad if the kids club was all it was cracked up to be. There are only two employees there at a time with way more kids than they can care for. My daughter always comes out dirty, wet and crying. From what I've seen, they give all the attention to kids who's parents are there all the time (usually the ones standing around talking and NOT working out). There was even a little girl that pushed my daughter in front of her mom, the employee and me and no one did anything so I picked up my daughter and left. Overall, having never been to a gym before, the facility is very nice. However, I would never sign a one year contract paying $80 a month plus $3.25 an hour for the crappy kids club which really adds up if you're going every day. There are too many people that go to this gym and not enough room with all the personal training sessions always going on. I do not like people standing around watching me while they're talking and I didn't appreciate how I was treated because I wasn't a member. Will not be going back. btw, there is a gym next door. Smaller but not as busy and I'm sure it's much cheaper.

Menifee Valley Athletic Club is a great gym. It's very clean and friendly gym. They do not pressure you in anyway. They also have babysitting and several different exercise classes. If you have not, you need to try ZUMBA. It's a great workout.
