My husband and I enjoyed the romantic setting and great service. The menu was not a large one but still very good.

I'm not exactly sure if we got lucky or not, but my wife and I visited this restaurant after we stayed at the attached lodge. We actually ended up there by doing a "Priceline" quote at the last minute. Needless to say, Carneros Restaurant was amazing that night.

Like I say, we may have been lucky because the resturant was almost empty on a Wednesday night at 8 pm. The bartender had a distributor who left some vodka and scotch, so all our drinks were on the house. The service was quick and fun as we watched the food be prepared from the bar seating. I ended up having the Wagyu beef tenderloin (domestic Kobe beef) and it was absolutely amazing. I have had steaks from all over the world (Asia, Europe, Indonesia, Argentina) and this was a better steak than all the rest.

The ambiance is dark, relaxing. I could see it could be very loud if it was busy though. I recommend this restaurant (and hotel) during a sonoma stay. I'd say it would probably be better if you went on a weeknight if possible.

In my first visit this place had the best hamburger in Sonoma County that I have tasted, but I am still checking out their consistancy. In my second visit the meat quality was not as good. John Barlycorn's still retains the best consistant burger title. The pizzas are creative, but their dough was awful. At least they understand the concept of deducting an indedible item off the check. Some places do not have enough class in operation and this place surely does. I got a good sense of what being a restaurant is all about here. The ingredients, service, and atmosphere are top notch. They love food and sharing that love with their patrons is very evident.

Brian Nicholson totally took care of us... it was amazing. special menus with our names on them, private seating on the patio, rose petals on the tables. NO EXTRA CHARGE. It is difficult to find great value for your money when it comes to weddings, and perfect customer service to boot. Get the fried green tomatoes!

One of my most favorite episodes from my visit to Sonoma is my dinner at this restaurant. Sure , the menu is quite pricy, but the quality of food and service is outstanding! Homegrown veggies are combined with delectable luxuries like foie gras and applewood smoked bacon.... Team that with some world famous Sonoma & Napa County wines, cuddle up next to the fireplace and fall in love with the ambiance.

the location is very nice and beautiful, but the hotel could have done a little better job with its culinary outfit. I got ripped with the lunch menu which was not very tasty and dinner menu was awkwardly high. Breakfast was reasonable and the view was cool.

Freshness is the rule at this hotel restaurant in the heart of Sonoma wine country. A 480-square-foot garden on the side of the restaurant is the first clue of the "straight from the earth to your plate" philosophy. Wood-beamed ceilings…
