I've been searching for a mexican place to fill the voids of the great taquerias I ate at during high school. Cotixans isn't the best mexican food I've ever had, but it's pretty good. The best part is the serving sizes, the burritos are good sizes, and the nachos are huge. The hot sauce they give you is good to.
The carna sada fries are the cornerstone of this great tasting 24 hour Mexican fast food/dine-in restaurant. The place itself is pretty old and it's kind of run-down but the fries and the California burrito definitely make up for it. It usually gets busy on the weekends at night so if you're heading there after a long night of partying you better be ready to wait in line. Decent prices as well.
my pals took me here and i was blown away at the food. i had a california burrito and it's a burrito that has cheese, carne asada, and french fies in it. i could feel my arteries clogging as i ate it but who cares? it's cheap and good. the carne asada fries aren't that great though. stick with the burritos. their fountain drinks includes horchata. there is an outside area where you can eat and it's recently remodeled so it looks clean.
I've only had the bean and cheese burrito and the chicken rolled tacos but they were really good. The hot sauce is good too.
Pros: inexpensive food, good tasting, open 24 hours
Cons: not much
First off, the only thing that my daughter ordered was a side of rice and they charged me for it but did not give it to us. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries for $5.25 and was disappointed. I was only fries, meat and cheese. There was no sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes or lettuce. If I had know it would be so dry I would have asked for those. Now that I do know, I don't plan on going back there anytime soon.
Pros: It is close to home
Cons: It was not all that great
