Santa Monica Car Sound

I just got aa Audi A5 from my parents and I was immediately looking around to trick it out. As I walked into the store I asked for the prices for a window tint, ipod adapter to play through my car sound system, and 19" black and chrome lip Giovanni rims. The price he gave me shocked me for how reasonable it was. He installed everything same day with quality. NO bubbles in the window tint and clean cuts on the window edges, and the car looks GREAT. Thank You Freddy, and I recommend strongly to go to Santa Monica Car sound trust me and don't waste you time and money going around L.A.

I just can't stand those bluetooth earpieces, looks like a growth coming out of my ear and don'[t like the look. I got a handsfree kit and it does the job real nice. Whats real cool is that it cuts my music when a call comes in and I don't have to deal with the hassles of working with an earpiece. If I had to, I'd do it all over again.

Santa Monica Car sound did an excellent job on my window tint. Not only did they do an excellent job, they were pretty fast- it only took a few hours. BTW I advise you to look around and you will find out that have the lowest price on tint on the west side.

I needed to get a bluetooth kit and they sold me one that was compatible with my blackberry at a really good price.
They hardwired a parrot into my BMW and I am quite happy with the installation and the features.
Since it was capable of duplicating some of my phone features through the hardware. The install was quick and it was mounted correctly. I'd give them a grade A.

I was looking for the lowest prices for window tinting and shopped around all the independent stores and the major shops. I used google, phone calls, friends and all the internet sites. Santa Monica car sound had the lowest prices and quickest turnaround. They got the job done and I was out on the road within 2 hrs. Save yourself some time and take my word of advice. Go there since I did all the homework in trying to find the best deal for window tinting. Also ask the owner for the best deal, he may work with you.(dont tell him I told you this)

Pros: Best Prices for Tinting- Trust me, I've been around the block

Cons: They have a guy in costume in the front and I couldn't stop cracking up.

I'm always buying the latest gadgets especially from Apple. I have the jesusphone (iphone) and needed to use in my Toyota Prius. The bluetooth really is bad for the prius so i figured to go with an aftermarket unit. I also got a nice cradle to pop my iphone and pow! Looked all online for a kenwood overheadhead monitor. Found it a little lower price online, but I decided to go with them because I like to see the people I buy from face ot face in case something goes wrong. They installed it in the morning and I picked it up during my lunch break. The kids love it since now the trips are fun since they have their Spongebob DVDS.

I live in Santa monica and looked online for a reputable dealer who was close by. Came to find these guys listed on citysearch and decided to give them a try since the ratings were pretty good. my stereo was on the fritz and found out that the dealer unit was going to be twice as much witfh less features. I said screw that and went with SM car sound. they had a special going on for a stereo unit and installation. They helped me find a stereo that could be hooked up to my iphone and ipod. they patiently guided me through the whole process on how things worked and seemed knowledgable about the accessories I needed. they also made some recommendations for ways that i could improve my driving expereince while making calls and I also purchased a parrot blue tooth for hands free operation. I appreciated that these guys took the time to help me navigate though all the tech mumbo jumbo. If you ever are in the area try them out.

I was sick of using my ipod with the stupid cassette tape connection so I finally bit the bullet and got the direct connection to my car. They installed it within 2-3 hours and now I can listen without the hassle.

My cd player stopped working and I called these guys up to fix it. I brought it in and they recommended that the repairs would cost more than buying a new unit which seems to be the case for all new electcronics these days. They had a Sony Xplod for $69.00 plus installation and it had the audio jack built it so I can connect it to my iphone and ipods. The install took about 2 hours and I picked it up and I was ready to go. No Hassles no headaches which is the way I like it and a great deal too.

I was hesitant in going to Santa Monica Car Sound after reading some of the previous reviews but found out it was just their local rivals posting fake reviews to make them look bad. Al & Eds were good and some of their prices could be lower but they were fine for a chain store. But I decided to shop around

Santa Monica car sound have been in business for over 20 years and are not going anywhere and I have found Freddie to be very honest and straightforward person. I had a multimedia system installed and they hooked it up like it was built from the factory. I brought my van with a broken light and they even fixed my tail light cheaper than the dealers including all parts and labor. Not only did they save me money they, they saved me a trip from going to the expensive dealers.

My boyfriend went to Santa monica Car Sound to have a car stereo, amps and speakers installed. They did lousy work and my boyfriends' car electrical system was all messed up from their faulty wiring. They refused to fix the problem and said it would cost more money because his truck was the problem(not true) He paid them again to fix the problem and things still did not work When he went back again, the rude owner yelled curse words and told him too bad, then cursed at him in some weird language (the owner and the installer are Iraqi immigrants). My boyfriend then encountered two other customers having the same problems with this company My boyfriend went to another place and paid to have the job done right. Do not go to this car stereo shop!! They are crooks and will rip you off!! Complaints have been filed against this company. I have filed a small claims suit against the owner but he keeps hiding from the process server. So if these crooks get away with stealing from me I at least want everyone else to know so they don't get ripped off either. Stephanie newport beach, California U.S.A.

Buyer Beware! These guys tried to sell me a "state of the art" alarm system when in fact it was an older model at a premium price. I later discovered there was a newer version with more features that was out and it was even cheaper than the older version. Can you believe this guy?Luckily I did my research on the web and found other shops that had the new version and at a really good price. Do yourself a favor , spend some extra time and shop around, you'll save yourself a lot of money. I am glad I didn't buy from these guys.

I dealt with all the other places in Los Angeles and have never been as satisfied with them as I have with Santa Monica car sound. They are simply the best. trust me... shop around. They had a great deall on a Sony xplod car stereo that was ipod ready for only $69.00. All the other places prices were too high and they installed the head unit and tinted my windows in a matter of hours. I can honestly say, that these guys are pretty good.

I shopped all over town to find the best deal and quality work for my new A4, and I'm certain I found both at Santa Monica Car Sound. Trust me, I inquired at EVERY store on the West Side and beyond, and Freddy gave me BY FAR the best deal. It's also not a case of "you get what you pay for," because the work they did was flawless - not to mention guaranteed. I was almost hesitant to do the work there at first because I didn't see any Ferraris in the garage (and the sign-twirling clown freaked me out), but after having given them my business I couldn't be happier. Thanks Freddy, you have a new customer for life.

One of the reasons I love LA so much is because of its diversity in business; the mom and pop shops thrill me. So, when looking around for a good place to have an alarm installed on my car, naturally I was drawn to Santa Monica Car Sound. After first visiting Startronics, a place that couldn't offer me the customized job I wanted, I was glad to hear that SMCS could meet my needs at a favorable price. I stressed the importance of a stealth install and that's exactly what I got -- all parts were well hidden and wires tucked. The only problem was that I received a bad backup battery for the alarm and had to return to the shop to have a new one installed. A bit of an inconvenience, but they handled the situation professionally.

I was looking for new set of speakers to replace my old blown out ones. I talked to Freddie and he was very knowledgeable and made a recommendation. So asked him how long will it take and he said he would do it right then and there. After about 30 minutes he they were done. Simply Amazing! I could not get that type of service if I went to Worst Buy or anywhere else.

I was tired of going to places that try to rip you and never deliver on their promises so I scrutinize every place by reading reviews online. fortunately they pulled through and delivered on every promise and more. They did a little extra work and didn?t charge me. How cool is that? It seems that they go that extra mile just to make sure things are done correctly.

What can I say. Thanks Freddie. Had the works from them which included a new sound

system to replace the stock stereo in my black scion. I even had some optima batteries and

an isolator since I'm pumping the
watts. They did the complete wiring and now I can run my system at full power without

draining my main battery.

Just wanted to thank the guys at Santa Monica Car sound for being cool and hooking me up with a new Sony stereo that works with my ipod and iphone. Got a nice cradle/dock to fit snugly with the car. I can listen to my own tunes commercial free. They were really helpful and the prices were pretty good.Hmmm... I wonder if I can fit my 50 inch Plasma screen and xbox 360in my Hummer....

This place is GREAT! They have tons of items to PIMP out your ride. I have been here several time and I recommend it to all my colleagues and friends with nice whips. They are Santa Monica's local car shop. I don't go to big corporate owned places because you just turn out to be a number in the crowd and the service is not great. At this place they have true professionals and the owner FREDDIE is more than welcome to help and explain to you how the products work. I went to Santa Monica Car Sound to purchase car cd player with i-pod connection, not only they had the lowest prices in town they had amazing service. They put my radio in and it only to a couple of hours. I was so satisfied I came back to get my car's windows tinted. Freddie has a great personality and is highly knowledgable of his service. I will reccomend him for any electronic needs.

The WORSE store I ever done business with. Simple as that. Overall experience was very BAD, I should have walked away when I arrived after seen a clown outside. I was quote a price over the phone BUT got another after service was done. They DAMAGED my car and now he does NOT want to fix my electronics,I reported him to the Better Business and I will be taking him to court.
The day I was there I noticed a woman very upset for the same reasons and another man having problems with his credit card charges.
I filed with the Better Business as well as its report that already gives "Freddy" an unsatisfactory rating.
