.

We went to this store on Arpil 17, 2010, Saturday afternoon. We purchased a Sleep Number mattress 2 weeks ago. The mattress was comfortable so far, but after we saw customer reviews on internet about Sleep Number mattresses maintenance fees, we're a little bit concerned about that. We want to compare with the same price that what kind of spring mattress we could get so we can decide if we'll keep the Sleep Number or not. We went to Sit N Sleep in City of Industry (or Rowland Heights, anyway it's in a big mall next to Ethan Allen near AMC) and we like the Stearns & Foster Queen mattress at $3999. The sale guy made it sounds like a good deal for $3400 tax included.

Since we didn't do any research about that mattress yet, we were hesitated into that purchase right away. We told the guy we're going to shop around first. The sales guy then push us to put down deposit to "secured" the offered he just made. He said he cannot hold the price for us if we don't put down a deposit (he'll put a hold on our credit card something like that) and besides, he said, if later we change our mind, they will return the deposit anyway it's like a risk free bet. Me and my husband found that suspicious because the sale guy keep pushing us to hand him our credit card. That's a red flag to us.

BTW, after we got home I hopped on my computer and found out the offered they made was rubbish. The most expensive mattress from Stearns and Foster is only around $2299 something. We don't remember exact model that we were looking there. But even it's the top of the line, it's only 2299 something and they offered us a rip-of price and have the guts to ask us to "secure" the price. Good thing that we didn't.

Sales guy: nice
Price: rubbish
Range of items: more than 50 displayed mattresses at the store
Final thought: As long as you can find a good deal there and make them write down exactly what they promised (warranty, delivery time, return policy etc.), it's okay to shop there. But be careful that I've read elsewhere that their customer services suck. Make sure that you get EVERYTHING in detailed writing before you paid to protect you from the worst scenario.
