Located at the food court at the Westfield Century City mall, the most distinct aspect of this fro-yo stand is its square dishes. The sweet, plain-flavored fro-yo itself tastes almost identical to Red Mango and other similar venues in the area. The stand also offers smoothies like many of its competitors and serves almost all the same fruit, candy and nut toppings. Bottom line, if you?re at the Century City mall and are craving fro-yo, no need to rush out of the parking lot to find the nearest Pinkberry. This place will satisfy your craving just fine.

The wait for a breakfast sandwich with no other customers around takes 15 minutes, probably due to the fact that two people are making the sandwich instead of one. It is rather overpriced and I would recommend getting food that is just as good at 60% of the price from Wolfgang Puck Express from Gelson's if you are at the Century City Mall. Plenty of people complain about their orders being wrong.

Pros: Fresh tasting bread

Cons: long wait, poor customer service

.

1) Warm day and the Coral Tree Express is advertising lemonade and juice drinks all over. On their plasma menu screen, on POS displays, etc. Get to register--"sorry, no lemonade or juice drinks today." Sigh. Perhaps put up a sign announcing that.

2) During the same visit, I ordered a chinese chicken salad. Got it, went to my table, started to dig in and there's no chicken. Brought it back and asked about the missing chicken. Without a word of apology, the hostess essentially threw my salad back on the pass and barked to the staff to add chicken. After they added the chicken, she dumped it back on my tray, again without saying a single word but oozing attitude. Unfortunately the experience didn't get much better when I got back to my table. The salad was uninspired and boring. Not worth the $10. Do yourself a favor and go to California Crisp next door for a tastier, more robust salad.

There are friendlier and tastier places in the new Century City food court. Unless you like mediocre food with big helpings of attitude (especially if there's a problem), stay away from Coral Tree Express.

Pros: Menu looks healthy

Cons: Not that tasty; staff with attitude

Message from Coral Tree Cafe

Answering an increasing demand for healthy dining in a casual atmosphere, the concept for Coral Tree Café was born. When the ideal location became available Coral Tree Café went from concept to reality. The goal, to provide quality food and a casual ambiance, whether you like sitting inside or in our outdoor patio. When deciding on a name that best represented the restaurant and Brentwood, Coral Tree Café was chosen for its inspiration; the beautiful Coral Trees lining San Vicente Boulevard, located directly across from the restaurant. Coral Tree Café opened its doors in November of 2002 and the response from our customers has been outstanding.

At Coral Tree Café all of our coffees are certified organic, shade grown and fairly traded. Coral Tree Café coffee comes from coffee beans that have been grown under a canopy of shade trees which serves as a natural sun screen and provides a safe and natural habitat for migratory birds and other species.

“Fair trade” provides an alternative trade model that keeps small farmers in business by guaranteeing them a fair price for their coffee. These are important aspects to the sustainability of coffee that is better tasting and socially responsible. This reflects Coral Tree Café’s commitment to the delicate ecosystem, our customers’ health and fair trade practice.
