Tough love. i like this place because they really dig in! None of that wimpy rubby BS. They try to avoid making you wait. The longest I ever waited was 5 minutes. Which is good for an impatient gal such as myself. :0/

I traditionally don't like massages, but heard such great things about thai massage I had to try it. By far, the most relaxing thing I've ever done. Beautiful, clean location in a strip mall in Thai Town. Highly recommended!

GREAT!!!! this places rocks
by lilant
i really cant understand how the person on 1/10/2008 says this place is not good? and then advertise someone else? please!
we have been to Thailand twice and while there had several massages, they r cheap there, and this is real close. the first time i went here, i will say i WAS surprised that the did the "oil thing" cause that is NOT thai massage, but they probably put that in so americans would think they were getting a "massage" you know what i mean? i'm sure if you told them not to they would leave it out.
the office is very quite with dim lights and soft music in the background. you cant go wrong! and there are some good places to eat in the same strip mall.
But let me tell you this place ROCKS! since my first time back ive been back several times and brought my BOSS who's NEVER had any kind of massage. he said, "it was like an out of body experience."
the pace is SUPER clean and the also offer you a bottle of water to take with you as you leave, very nice.
really this place is great, make sure you ask for "mint" she is great!! just don't book my time slots! ;-)
Pros: nice people, clean, private rooms for singles or bigger couples rooms
Cons: hmmmmmm, parking?

No Stretching Just Oily Rubbing
by maja18
Went here based on reviews, word of mouth, location...and as an experienced massage therapist I had high hopes for this place. I took my sister who recently returned from Thailand where she received daily Thai massage and had a good idea of traditional skills. What we both got was a lot of rubbing and acupressure with very little traditional stretching** which blew my mind because that's what Thai Massage is all about!!! Both therapists lacked anatomical knowledge to manipulate muscles correctly and I was bruised the next day. On top of it all, there was construction next door and we heard jackhammers, drills, pounding during the entire session!! Very Disappointing!! Everyone was polite and sweet, but traditional this was not. There's a whole lot more to Thai therapy than a bunch of oil poured on your back ,and this place didn't seem to have the training to execute the movements properly. For true outstanding Thai try Elyse Briggs for a private session (Yoga at the Village)---- Thai Sabai doesn't even come close.
Pros: Nice place, didn't use baby oil, pretty decor
Cons: Inexperienced therapists, not enough stretching WAY too much rubbing and acupressure

Can't say enough good things!
by sueinthepark
I had 2 friends visiting from ot of town. We were looking for some serious pampering. What can you say about a 2 hour massage for $85??? Not only was it inexpensive, but my friends and I all agreed it was the best massage we've ever gotten. Period.
Seriosly, why go anywhere else?
Pros: Everything
Cons: None

Pretty fantastic

Walked in without an appointment. They assigned someone to me right away--no wait involved. I've been getting Chinese acupressure massages for years in NYC. While some were more memorable and productive than others, none compared to this excellent first visit. I do believe the Thai technique is far superior and consider myself converted. The Thai style seems to involve a wider variety of moves to work out the tension in your hips and spine. Attention was paid to musculature that I now realize was routinely neglected by Tui-Na establishments. Though I was sore the day after, the massage was effective. This isn't a hoity-toity day spa. It is a tidy, orderly and aesthetically pleasing (berber carpeted rooms, non-cheeseball tranquil music, good lighting, clean tile and waiting room area) gem situated in the rear of a strip mall. The massage I had here was as good as a far more expensive one offered at the Bliss spa chain. And the overall comfort factor, decor-wise, is better than that of other budget places with which I'm familiar.
Pros: In addition everything stated above, they offer a discount coupon in the Los Feliz Ledger
Cons: None come to mind...

If you really need a massage to "work" it out...
by lcs415
I love this place. It isn't a glamourous spa experience by any means, but you are guaranteed to get a serious massage here. This is not a place for people who like gentle massages. You feel like you had a work-out the next day. But the full-body massage leaves you relaxed and feeling like you just did Yoga.
Pros: Cheap but very effective massage
Cons: Not the prettiest or fanciest place, but it is clean

Thai Sabai in Thai Town -- Best Massage EVER!
by dixie12
This charming little Thai massage studio sits in the back of an unassuming strip mall...don't be fooled! It may look like no frills from the outside (only adding to its charm) but once inside the doors... the world melts away. The soothing and beautiful atmosphere accentuates the best massage I've ever had, and I've had many. You come out feeling re-energized, stretched out, de-stressed, de-toxed...downright deeeelightful! And at 65 bucks for ninety minutes, you can't beat it. The place is clean and aesthetically on the mark...the mats and pillows are so comfortable you just want to stay and stay. Can hardly wait to take a group of friends into the big room for a shared experience...what a blast that will be!

Best Thai Massage
by schmooz
This place is beautiful, new and stylish. From the restrooms to the massage rooms, they keep this place squeaky clean. The massage was one of the best I have had, and the staff is friendly and personable. If you are looking for a great Thai massage in a beautiful space, I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Pros: Great massage

Never Had Thai Massage Before
by drinkh20
OH WOW!! If you have never had a Thai massage...you are so missing out!! It is unlike any other massage. I was having lunch in Thai town and right next door was this new Thai Massage place in this little Hollwood shopping center. I chanced it and was instantly impressed by the cleanliness and the simple, elegant decor. They changed the sheet with every massage which was a definite plus. I highly recommend Thai Sabai for the best massage. But, don't eat before a massage...probably not the best thing to do : )
Pros: great deal! sanitary facility; cordial staff
Cons: I don't live in Hollywood
