We love Cucina Isabella! Great food, great service every time. The only thing that keeps us from going more often is that they are a little expensive for our budget.

Went there once for dinner and loved the food. Our second visit was a total disaster. The waitress (not the owner) never asked us if our food was to our liking. Never refilled our drinks. Never brought us more bread, but did ask us TWICE if we wanted desert. We waited almost 30 minutes at the conclusion of the dinner trying to get our check. After we did, she never came back to pick it up. We got up and paid at the register. This place could be a great find, unfortunately the bad service has turned us off.

Took my wike and son for an evening meal. Cucina Isabella looks like a great little Italian restaurant. The following happened all in one evening.

#1 Food was just okay
#2 Expensive
#3 Had to ask for refill
#4 Cool night and had to ask for the heaters to be turned on

Never will return

I've visited this restaurant in the past and the owner, Isabella, has been there everytime to serve me and my husband. We always feel comfortable and enjoy our experience dining there. Unfortunately, I went in on a night that Isabella was not working and some unbelievably RUDE and combative waitress was working. My mom and I went in and they only had 2 tables avaliable but we were told they had NO tables avaliable, seeing that there were 2 tables open I asked if we could be seated in either one, she was hesistant to seat us but after moving a cabinet there was enough room for us to squeeze in. When we sat down I realized I was literally back to back with the lady at the table next to us. It was quite tight but I decided that we could work with it. After about 10 minutes they took our drink order and in this time 2 tables left and there were now 2 tables open so I asked one of the servers if we could move, he said yes and told us to move after he cleaned it. So my mom and I got up to move. Then the RUDE waitress came over and told us we could not sit there and that was a table for 4 people, mind you there was no one in the restaurant waiting for a table she just refused to let us sit there. At that point I decided it was time to cut our losses and leave. I asked for the bill for our two drinks. The male server was extremely apologetic and he looked very embarassed. The RUDE waitress then said, "you obviously haven't been here before" and I said that I had been there before and then she said, "what was that look for?" once again I said I just wanted the bill. I couldn't believe she had the nerve to speak to me like that and to insinuate that I'm some kind of idiot for thinking I could ask sit at another table besides the one for 2 people. I went to the register to pay and she tried to explain to me in her ever so RUDE tone that that table was for 4 people and I told her again I just wanted to pay and leave. She then said, "this really isn't a place for you" and then I told her not to worry that I wouldn't be back...I can't believe I was treated so horribly in a little neighborhood restaurant, I can't believe someone running a restaurant would employ such a RUDE woman that really has no business working with the public. In this economy I think it is mindless for any business to turn away customers but I don't think they be around for long if they treat their customers half as bad as they treated me and my mother

I used to work for Gino, he really cares about the food he makes, he only uses the best ingredients. I live in NY now and i still miss the great smell from Gino's kitchen.

pizza was undercooked, told them i thought it was undercooked, but my boyfriend said he thought it looked ok. Then the server and the cook said thats how it always is. but i had it once before and was more cooked the 1st time i ordered it. they told me it would be just fine. with pressure coming from all directions and the fact that we didn't want to miss the celtic dancers at the celtic festival across the street at the park. i took their word for it. my boyfriend and i went to the park to watch the celtic dancers and eat our pizza. Sure enough the pizza was not cooked enough, it was really doughey and the toppings slid right off, but my boyfriend was starving and forced down 3 pieces. yuck!! I couldn't even finish my first piece. So i decided i was going to take it back and have them cook it longer as soon as the celtic dancers were done. And that's exactly what i did approximately 25 minutes after picking up the pizza we brought it back . guess what they would not put the pizza back in the oven to cook longer, because we left with it and they don't know where it has been. P..LEASE give me a break, i do not look like some drunken degenrate, nor was i attempting to get a refund of any sort, i am just your average middle-aged, middleclass, homeowner and proud Camarilloian, as well as a Camarillo Hospice Volunteer!! How much more insulting could she be. its not like i was asking her to cook pieces i had half eaten or anything.
i had I REMINDED HER OF MY INITIAL CONCERN WHEN PICKING UP THE PIZZA ABOUT IT BEING UNDERCOOKED!!! She was the one that tried to convince that it was cooked just fine!!!Her reply was well your boyfriend( whom was starving at the time) said it looked like it was cooked fine too. which is true but i'm the one who paid for it and i expressed my concern specifically to you, and you personally reassured me that it was cooked enough. her next reply was well if it wasn't cooked enough why are four pieces off it gone. OH MY GOD!! UNBELIEVABLE!! It smelled like urine and grey water(seawage drain) the 1st time we ate because their very small one person restroom is within 2 feet distance from at least two tables. the whole dining are is only about 12ft x 14 ft.
The 1st time we ate there they claimed to be this big friendly, family owned, family run restaurant, where everyone is treated like one of the family when they come eat there. Well it was quite obvious after our second encounter there and the way that we were treated that our ideas about how you treat family let alone a paying customer were entirely different.Camarillo is full of more caring, loving, giving , kind and generous people than anywhere i have ever lived, and i am very proud to be a resident and active participant in this wonderful community. But I am saddened to think that a past or future visitor or resident may have or may be subjected to such unfriendly and rude service from a local restaurant. this restaurant definitely does not live up to Camarillo standard of friendly service, great food,or a warm family atmosphere!!

Pros: if ur mom was a bad cook&you miss her cooking then eat here

Cons: that the place hasn't relocated to another state or country!

Gino is amazing! A perfect blend of flavors, no matter the dish and the pizza is THE BEST in Camarillo. Try it, you'll love it! My personal favorite pizza is the Spinaccia. The Canneloni is to die for and the new lunch specials are affordable and scrumptious!

This place was a Bloody Rip-Off!!! 3 of us went for a simple dinner, and the bill came to, $75.00. The watress/owner asked all 3 of us if we wanted soup or salad with our dinner. We all wanted soup. Guess what, the soup and salad was not included in the price of the meal. She nailed us. just the soups we're about $8.00 each. Never again, RIP OFF!!! I don't care how good the food was

Just finished dinner at Cucina Isabella. YUM! My Mom (age 83) and I had a coupon so decided to finally try this restaurant we'd driven by many times ... we'd missed a true gem!!

The complimentary bread started us out on just the right note: a choice of tasty-flavored bread knots or a plain, perfect-for-dipping in olive oil flat bread. We shared a (large) Caesar salad that was crisply fresh and nicely flavored. We'd both ordered salmon which arrived perfectly seasoned and included a pasta marinara side.

They specialize in thin crust pizza and pasta and are open for lunch (with a great pizza lunch deal), then again for dinner.

The restaurant is family run with a cozy decor and a lovely outdoor patio with heaters ... also an excellent staff, versatile, efficient, and gracious ... have we stumbled into another country here?

A lovely evening - an experience we will definitely repeat!

This was the most disapointing meal I have ever had. Not did this place sever processed and previously frozen food, each plate was more than $18! My boyfriend got the "italian sausage" penne. The sauce was a can of tomatoes flavorless and the pasta was mush. but that wasn't the worst part, the "sausage" was PROCESSED, pre-cut, pre-cooked and from a package. It tasted discusting! I took a bite...how bad can they screw up sausage and penne pasta?! I got the chicken masala. The chicken was previously frozen (it had that freezer burn taste and was kind of frayed on the top after being cooked) the pasta that accompanied it was a disaster as well. And it cost $20! not to mention the bread (which was really left over pizza dough)!

The service was horrible, the food was the worst I've ever had and it was SO overpriced. I can't believe they would even attempt to serve food like that and charge what they do. the only good thing about the meal was the bottle of wine which was $20.

They call this place "Authentic" what a joke! If you can help it, DON"T EAT THERE! I would give it 0 stars if I could!

Pros: The house wine was fairly priced and pretty good

Cons: OVER PICED HORRIBLE FOOD AND HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!
