Boy, I tell ya. They were a little pushy with the Tip.

I had a One Hour long full body Swedish Massage.

My experience was almost exactly like review writer "Mary E." describes it. Called for an appointment, and was told I could walk-in. So, I did. This very night. Host was very welcoming and did her best to describe to me the differences between a Swedish Massage and a Deep Tissue Massage (this was my first professional full-body massage ever) considering a mild language barrier. I was told that the amount due would be paid upfront before the actual massage, I agreed. She then proceeded to ask me the amount of the tip, which left me perplexed. I mean, how can I give a tip when the services this establishment offers have yet to be rendered to me? I thought. Attempting to avoid myself the trouble I just caved in. My guess is they try to avoid the swiping of the card more than once since the bank probably charges them a free per transaction. (But now that I think about it I had to pay an extra $2 for using a credit card) Which begs the question why not just have the client pay at the end of the massage. I don't know. Maybe they've had people run-off after their massages without paying. Heh. Anyhow-- remember this is my first massage ever and I have no idea how much of a tip I'm supposed to give. Is it the same as the tip of a server at a restaurant of 15-20%? No idea. Nevertheless I went for the 15% and I told her " Seven dollars is fine." She almost looked offended and said to me "Ten is minimum". I was taken aback. Does that sound fair to those of you who frequent Massage Parlors? I have no idea. I gave in and said "That's fine". Considering their rate of $40/hour I couldn't complain much.

Aside from this issue which ended up not being such a huge issue in the end-- I can safely say I had a good experience during the massage. The touch of Asian music was very relaxing. I began belly-down as she worked my full body (everything except the feet and frontal torso) and I ended up faced-up.

VERY RELAXING MASSAGE.

Called for an appointment and was able to just walk-in. Owner is Anthony...was very welcoming and nice. Paid upfront before service, which was $45 for 1 hour. He told me to tell my masseuse exactly what I wanted. The lady that did my massage was Asian. I'm not sure if all the masseuses are Asian but there were 2 Asian masseuses I saw while I was there. Anyway, I told her I wanted deep tissue and to focus on my neck and shoulder area. She did a good job for the most part. I would describe it as a pressure massage rather than massage in a focused area. It was interesting how much oil she used on my back but was glad she wiped it all off once she finished massaging my back.My suggestion is if you like an overall massage this place is perfect, but if you want deep tissue on a focused area I think you can get another person or maybe just try other places. Overall, it is a good deal. The place is a small boutique and has an Asian comfy feel. It's hard to miss because they have signs outside their store and on craigslist.
