With the opening of Andrew Meieran's new industrial cathedral, Downtown is once again the place to be in Los Angeles. The Edison presents a marriage of refined industrial architecture and art deco chic - a world class lounge that retains the mechanical artifacts from its history as downtown LA's first private power plant. The grand staircase spectacularly descends into the depths of the historic Higgins Building. The Edison revitalizes the art of the classic, hand crafted cocktail with house specialties designed just for the space old-school bourbons luxuriously transformed with a house made lavender & honey infusion. A small, upscale menu of food and drinks. The Edison offers a respectful nod to LA's famed nightlife that haunts Ciros & Coconut Grove and continues to punctuate billiards. You can also enjoy an early evening retro juke box for nightly Cocktail Hours.
The Edison is classy!
by Rebecca B.
This is my favorite bar in LA, mostly do to the style of the place. Great lighting, usually jazzy or big band music, and fun old silent movies or steam-punk cartoons playing on the screens. The drinks are a bit expensive, but they are half off during happy hour. Plus, there is an 'absinthe fairy' that pushes a little cart around of delicious absinthe cocktails!

Went for the grand opening and it's tragically lovely. Don't get me wrong...the place is labyrinthine and wondrous, but nothing seems real. I give it points for trying, but really it's just another result of the Mockristocracy.

Burlesque Wednesdays
by Michael Fran
I've been a fan of the Edison since it first opened, but its appeal faded after a year or so. I recently went back for the burlesque circus on Wednesday nights and... DAMN. Entertainment is incredible, the crowd dresses up and the drinks never miss, although you may wait for quite a while. If you're looking for a refreshed sense of the Edison - go on Wednesday nights.
Pros: Burlesque Troop

Great place for a date

The food here is eclectic and absolutely amazing. It's good for a romantic date or even meet friends at the bar. I particularly enjoyed the belly dancer show she had a python in her act. The service was amazing well worth the prices.
Pros: Sexy belly dancer

Ruined evening
by mickjaggerz
I just got turned away from this stupid club because of my attire. I'm supposed to be there for a birthday party. My knit shirt from Nordstroms "doesn't have a collar" and the bouncer didn't like my shoes either.
Do ya think I'll ever go back there?

How to be a bouncer, stand by door, be rude
by dinosoreis
At 7:10pm I arrived at the Edison for my friends birthday get together, I had sneakers on (I had just come from work) And had missed the dress code cut off by 10min so I left but because my friends are better people than the management and door man at the Edison they finished there drinks and left as well, most never to return.
Pros: cool building
Cons: The people who work there

dont know what these pro reviewers have been smoking but they couldnt have been at the same club. Rudest punks at the door I have ever seen. Food poor, drinks poor- overpriced with abysmally slow service.
Better to sit at home and pour yourself drinks while listening to Xm radio than to waste time and money here
Pros: none mentionable
Cons: top to bottom, the worst

Shameful!
by Shakespeare
Shameful!
Went last night to try and enjoy the festivities. We were with a very large group of people..one of which was told at the door that he couldn't come in because his arms weren't covered. (mind you, he was wearing a badassed outfit resplendent in "edison-esque attire" a very nice vest and shirt underneath that happened to be cut at the shoulders. He looked better than most of the men patronizing this joint. I had to lend him my sweater (leaving me bare-armed, spaghetti-strapped and braless, but, hey I'm a girl and they had no problem with me)
Wow. I should have looked for a sexual discrimination lawyer while i was in there....
So, this set our party of 20 or so in a disdainful mood right off the bat. At a $10 cover, there went 200 bux.....and, unfortunately, my friend was so hot inside wearing that mandatory sweater i had lent him and chose to leave instead sweat to death. Funny enough, as he was leaving ANOTHER EMPLOYEE stopped him to chastise him for his "sleavelessness".
My advice to the bad apple employees that run rampant in this club is to take the attitude down a few notches.
So, after 17 of our party left, fairly immediately (and will never return), i stayed with my two girlfriends, ate some WAY overpriced mac and cheese and downed some absyinthe...not the best.
We must have lucked out, because our bartender , Aidan D was terrific, as were the barbacks and busboy. Nice guys. The waitress, on the other hand (don't know what dr-g she was on) literally tripped across my feet FOUR different times...no exaggeration. No apology, just a glassy-eyed freakish demeanor wrapped up in a black flapper dress.
Also, let me point out that the DJ was pretty awesome, except, once again, FOR HER ATTITUDE! No smile, never, just a vacant, vapid expression of "I'm too good for this place" "worship me".
Boring.
Go for the decor once, but never go back. Unless they cut out 9/10's of their bitchy insouciant employees.
Pros: Decor
Cons: Staff, Overpriced food/ drinks

Terrible service
by marielatuchi
I just came back from this place and I am certainly not going there ever again. My friend had a birthday reservation for a large group of people at 9.30 pm; however guests arrived (me included) at 10pm simply because parking there is a nightmare. We were told that since we were not there on time at 9.30 all guests have to wait in the regular line. The security treated us like we were criminals. Needless to say, we didn't want to wait 1 1/2 to get in and just left without even seeing the birthday girl.
I don't know how 'happening' or cool is this place inside but just from the service outside, I was pretty sure that I am not going there again.
Pros: none
Cons: long wait and rude people; difficult parking

Cool place, rude staff
by winni3
This is a cool venue with a steampunk theme. However, the staff is rude rude rude. It doesn't matter how often you come here or how much money you spend, the staff will pretend like they do not recognize you and will even possibly school you. Service is slow for drinks and food. Worth visiting once for the decor and the venue itself, but I doubt I'll be back ever again.
Pros: decor, size, venue
Cons: staff, service

"WARNING...BAD SERVICE, AND HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT"
by SexyMissy
The Edison needs all new personnel, including the on site managers. This type of business needs excellent customer service...right you go to hang out with friends to have a good time. I mean you want to enjoy your self and spend your hard working money at this place but not when security is breathing down your neck and calling more security to our table to watch our every move. The Edison`s personnel were VERY NASTY, not once did I see the security harass any other party while I was there. They did not want to give my husband his credit card back so that we can pay...so they decided to kick my husband out on my birthday party because they thought he was getting out of hand. That is so unacceptable for just a prestige place in down town LA. I will NEVER come back to this place...I`m very disappointed they way that they conducted them self's and how poorly the management handled the situation.
Pros: The Edison was beautiful
Cons: Worst service EVER!!

WORST MANAGEMENT EVER
by flipflops114
Perfect example of how a truly awesome bar can be ruined by management. A text of mine to a friend at the beginning of the night reads "Edison is great - we have to come here." 30 minutes later I changed my mind and really don't ever want to spend my money there again. To start, before I ever had to deal with management I watched the GM (a very very bitter and mean blonde woman) yell at an employee because they asked her "what?" As in "what, I couldn't hear you." More than anything, I hate places like these that talk down to their servers/bartenders. They're not dumb - you don't have to take out the fact that you manage a bar and hate it on them.
We came here for a 30th bday with about 40 people. The bday boy lost his ID on the way there. Okay, I get it. We all get it - you can't get into the bar without an ID. Every single person in our group has worked in a bar. None of us were drunk when we got there. The bouncer started off the conversation by implying we were wasted and causing a scene. He did this without looking at us. I guess he's so important that he can't turn his head to speak to you. When my boyfriend asked him to answer my question, he turned, leaned into me and sneered through his moustache "see, I'm looking at you." I just find this behavior totally odd - there's really no need to speak to other adults like they're 15 . We were nothing but nice to them - we were just trying to solve a problem. if you can't communicate with people, you really shouldn't be a door guy or a manager.
When we finally left I overheard the same rude as hell door guy being just as rude to another customer at the door. I think they weren't dressed right. Hmmmm.
Bottom line - I feel horrible for the staff that works here. Nights must be hell with that lady speaking down to you.
(side note - bartenders were actually super cool)
Pros: The bar is actually cool
Cons: management/door guys

could be so cool!
by mrgoodbar
I live above this bar. When i moved in I had dreams of client meetings, parties, and even just grabbing a drink after work in such a cool interesting place, which was now my basement. The bouncer knows me and knows Im a resident, but still turns away my clients/friends over the shoe thing. Not only is it embarrassing, but just plain retarded. I usually dress up to go down there myself, but i could care less what anyone else is wearing, nor am i gonna tell people what to wear if they are coming over. Since when does a bouncer know fashion anyway. I saw them turn a stylish guy away that was wearing solid black prada shoes that were a little sporty but not tennis shoes at all, but some goon with super lame payless loafers roll on in. It only makes people mad, no one thinks its cool that they have this rule. You will never hear someone say, "lets go to edison, they have this awesome dress code".
It seems cool to get a table and maybe even bottle service once you see the layout, especially for a party. After 2 failed attempts, I will never do it again. The waitress brought all of the mixers first and not the 300 dollar bottle of vodka. It took her 45 minutes to get it to us. Members of my party were getting restless and started ordering drinks from the bar and drinking the 5 redbulls she brought with the mixers. Once the vodka arrived we asked for more redbull, and she charged me for all the additional ones. I understand you can over charge me 300 for a 5th of greygoose since thats what clubs do, but its pretty lame to charge me for xtra mixers, especially due to the situation. The second time they were out of the first 3 things i wanted, that they originally listed to me, then overcharged me hundreds on accident. The waitress was very nice but a terrible server.
Another time a friend of mine was over from Venice CA and had sandals on since it is more beachy in his neighborhood, and it was the hottest day of the year. We had no intention of going down but i remembered during happy hour on Wednesday and Thursday there is no dress code. He was very eager to see the place and it was happy hr so I figured they might let him in.
The bouncer said the sandals were not good enough but not because of how casual they were, but he claimed they are a safety hazard with the stairs. I guess girls in high hells and guys in flat sole shoes on polished concrete are safer alternatives.
Like others have said before me, the bouncers and bottle/party service ruin this place, otherwise its so cool!
I will still go to this bar, but only when i have to, it is fun to show people that haven't been, and its in my basement, but I give them a big fat "1" for not meeting my expectations as a resident and patron...
Pros: beautiful place, serves absinthe, good bar staff
Cons: doormen attitude, dress code

FUN! but with a price
by rockpaperscissors48
I love going to The Edison. The concept and design are gorgeous and really does take you back in time. The drinks are delicious and festive -- but will set you back if you order one of their specialty cocktails ($13!) You won't be listening to any hip-hop and reggae, strictly ballroom or swinger-style, if you please.
Be prepared to wait in line.... the last time I went here I spent almost 2 hours in line! NOT FUN in 4-inch heels!
Pros: Beautiful atmosphere! Delicious drinks...
Cons: LONG LINES

They will cheat you of your money
by LovelyAmavel
I had my boyfriends birthday here in a private room. The GM was BEYOND rude and the special events cord was clueless. I already was paying a good amount for the room and they managed to charge me an extra $530 for nothing except that one of their girls "accidently" charged it to my account and didn't apologize for this massive amount. I had a drink tab and while the charge went through over the weekend but then disappeared in the middle of the week. I should have kept my mouth shut and let them give me the extra cash, but when I called to let them know the charge for the drinks disappeared from my account they were quick to fix the mistake by then charging me an extra $100. When I called to complain, since they had confirmed it was a lower amount, they only sent me in circles. It's a beautiful bar but NOT worth how unorganized and rude they are. They seem to think charging a total of $630 isn't a big deal. It's really not worth checking out after the staff is so unhelpful.
Pros: great scene, interior decor
Cons: not organized staff, rude, rude, and RUDE

Great place to unwind after work
by vballtkb
The Edison is a great place to meet your co-workers, take off your tie, and have a few drinks. I highly recommend it when they have live music playing too. It is spacious and has a great mix of people. It's typical yuppy crowd and the service is very sweet. Food is phenomenal! The sliders are great. The sweet potato fries are delicious and go by quickly. When you've had a rough day at the office, it's just a nice place to relax. No big Hollywood crowd and No LA attitudes. Weekends have a really big crowd too. Around the corner is a great pizza place (sorry I don't know the name) but they close early.
Pros: Atmosphere, Service, Price
Cons: Seating

Wonderful Ambiance, Smokers Welcome!!!
by GwenPenny
The Edison is a wonderful lounge for off-beat & artist types who dislike dance clubs, and just want to go sit on a couch and drink martinis with minimal 'hype'. The music is relatively easy-listening and not too loud (though we went on a Thursday night-not sure if the musical genres change for the weekends).
They screen silent nior films on one of the walls, which worked out great for my film-buff boyfriend. There was no long wait at the door (perhaps 2 parties ahead of us), and the hostess/bouncer at the door were both very friendly and accommodating.
There is also a smoking area with chairs and tables:)
The dress code is great, too (If you prefer places with some sort of dress code) and we had no problems 'getting in' wearing our typical garb-We did not have to 'dress up' in any outlandish fashion-(My boyfriend wore a collared shirt, slacks and a blazer and I wore a simple old dress and hat), but if you're partial to athletic, lounge, or 'club wear' you'll have to fix yourself up a bit for this place.
The drinks were above average for Los Angeles (Most places in LA make very bad, weak drinks, even the so-called 'best drink' places)- We drank extra dry vodka martinis and beer. The prices were average for everything; $8-$13 for the drinks and $10 to $15 range for the snacks. We ordered calamari to pick at, and it was pretty good (though it's hard to screw up calamari).
The decor is most interesting, a converted generator/boiler room place, which has some historical significance as well-a rare treat in LA. It is also part of a string of new places put up in the attempt to 're-make' downtown LA, which is a much needed and admirable endeavor. Contributing your patronage here can help 'clean up' our downtown. A wonderful place to hang out with friends, and bring visitors. Highly recommended.
Pros: Decor, Accommodations, Music/Entertainment, Dress Code, Drinks
Cons: Difficult to park anywhere in downtown

what a joke
by lavet99
gents, and anyone wearing rubber soled shoes, this review is for you. i was looking forward to coming to this place because i had heard some good things from a few people and liked the website. my friend, his fiancee and i were coming for a private party and were on the guest list. we show up saturday night, 10pm. i'd love to tell you about my experience inside, but by 10:01 my night was sent back to the drawing board because I couldn't get past the front door. according to the "doormen" there, the owner's policy is no tennis shoes, and according to the burly clipboard holder, security jobs are on the line (in case a sneaker-wearing hooligan break into the place and start buying drinks, i guess). the fact is that i wasn't wearing sneakers (laceless pumas) and that their story - "we're trying to distance ourselves from hollywood; this is a lounge, not a bar" - is utter baloney. hey edison owner, don't pat yourself on the back just yet. skid row ring a bell? that's one way to distance yourself. how about aggressive homeless people hitting up people in line for money? also a nice touch. you have to be high as a kite to think that someone's shoes will give the place a bad name. there's a hundred great bars within a 5 mile radius... i suggest you take your hard-earned money to one where it's appreciated. it's a good thing this joint is downtown, out of the way of the general public who goes out to have fun without pretentious bouncers swatting them away at the door. the irony is that the same guys working the door would never get into this place if they came in their normal evening attire without the grim-reaper outfits.
Pros: everyone inside will be wearing black shoes
Cons: who cares?

Great atmosphere
by dishrags
This place is amazing! I came on a whim to "rescue" a friend but we ended up staying for a bit. I love the old school decor! The lighting and all makes you feel like you?re in a movie scene from way back in the day. The bartenders as well as the hostess are all dressed the part. There was a really nice mixed crowded and everyone was really chill, no attitudes (that I ran into anyway). And the door person was great; very polite and not snooty at all like a bunch of other places around LA. I haven?t tried the food, not sure how much the drinks are, but I definitely highly recommend this place just for the atmosphere!
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: Nothing I encountered

an interesting experience
by topselr
First and foremost the door guy: He was interesting in his way of making himself seem important! He did however build up the place to be exclusive to the right party goer! Overall I was pleased. The atmosphere is sophisticated, unique and inviting definitely a 10. The service we received was beyond our expectations and completely gratifying. The appetizers; calamari, and The boiler is delicious with an explosion of flavor with every bite and is reasonable price for what you receive. Now let me move on to my interesting experience: after only being there about an hours time, siting and enjoying a couple cocktails with my beautiful girlfriend there was this interesting character of a man in his early to mid fifties if I had to guess, he was dancing away in front of us and naturally caught our attention, he was with a lady in her late thirties or early forties. After about a couple minutes of him dancing in front of us the weirdest thing happens; He grabs my 22 year old girlfriends wrist simultaneously shoving his female partner onto my lap which i paid absolutely no attention to as my concern was my girlfriend. I asked him several times to let go and his response was, "it's ok, you can dance with her!(referring to his lady friend)" to which I again said absolutely NOT let her go now!!! finally he released her, obviously my girl was a little shaken up with what had transpired. We walked to to bathroom thinking we could gather ourselves only to find them lounging around the bathroom lobby as if they were keeping an eye on us. After she came out the ladies room we decided it was time to go as we felt uncomfortable with the creepy experience. Too bad that happened because we were at awe about the place, the service was great the uniqueness of the crowd was interesting. Perhaps they should do a better job at keeping an eye out for creeps like that! Would I go again?? Sure but rest assure I'm bringing a bodyguard!!
Pros: everything about it is fantastic
Cons: creeps

LA's new classic bar
by NikolaiFrom
It's unsurprising that, after haunting this place for over a year, that lines have begun to form around the block to get into the Edison: it is arguably the best bar in Downtown LA.
The cavernous art-deco speakeasy, with its preserved antique power generators and silent films projected on the walls, has a terrific '20s feel that will doubtlessly leave a lasting impression on first-time patrons. There's no cover (yet) but the semi-strict dress code ensures a classier clientele than most places.
Between the two bars you'll find an impressive catalog of drinks -- including a very nice scotch collection -- but why get a martini when you can order several brands of absinthe? On slower nights, the bartenders even set up an elaborate device that slowly dissolves a sugar cube into the potent green syrup. Very nice touch.
If at all possible, get there at happy hour for slashed prices on all spirits, and try to make one of their live jazz shows. This is one bar you'll want to come back to again and again.
Pros: Amazing architecture, great drinks, unbeatable ambiance
Cons: Increasingly difficult to get in

The Radio Room at the Edison is Great!
by womanontheverge
We went to the Radio Room on a Tuesday night and found a sassy cabaret show going on, WOW! The steamy ambience of the Edison was really turned up between incredible drinks, the performances of their Mistress with songs and a whip, a enticing belly dancer, a magician, not to mention the absinthe presentation! We never wanted to go above ground again. What a great way to start our week. I?m a Radio Room slave!
Pros: A little hard to find
Cons: Ambience makes you ready to have a fun

One of the most unusual and beautiful bars I've been to. Phenomenal drinks too.
by FlowerFeather
Incredible space. Vast ceilings, beautiful old boiler room, shadow puppets and old movies projected silently on walls... and a barista who made drinks like a romantic scientist... It was as if he was counting the shakes of ice to ensure that the perfect ratio of water would melt in to his concoction.. every time. I am thrilled to have found a bar in LA that I feel like going to and that is memorable the day after. It was also fun to leave a place and not have noticed the people there because I was so involved in the overall experience... love how great spaces can do that to me.
Pros: beautiful, atmospheric, amazing drinks, unusual

Wednesday nights are the best
by glazz
This place is always impressive but Wednesday nights bring it to a whole new level. There is this sort of moulin rouge meets burning man circus that goes on as entertainment that has to be seen. It is works very well with the time period and aesthetic that they are going for in the bar. The idea and execution are fantastic. A great place if you want to dress up. The drinks are good too.
Pros: The most inventive bar in LA

See to believe...
by RonnieEx
Went to the Edison on Wednesday night for the "Lucent Dossier" event. The dress code seemed to be more relaxed because of the event. Many people dressed in costume for the Moulin Rogue meets a twisted Circus show that went on that night. The "show" was amazing, and well worth the $20 admission. Performers interact with the crowd and make the night surprising and exciting! The Lounge itself, I must say, is the coolest looking bar/lounge I have EVER been to! The art direction is amazing, the lighting fantastic, and the atmosphere is just encompassing. As you walk down the staircase, you feel as if you are entering a private and unique world of nightlife. I say this is the best looking and most thrilling atmosphere I have encountered in a lounge while comparing it to lounges/clubs/bars in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco. Of those three cities, the Edison is the coolest! We had no problems getting in on Wednesday night as well. So...check it out to believe it! You won't be disappointed. And if you can catch the Lucent Dossier show/experience, your time at the Edison will be that much more exciting!
Pros: Atmosphere, Art Direction, Decor, DJ
Cons: Pricey Drinks

by MrSamFine
Bravo to the Edison for bringing nightlife back to downtown LA. Although a bit cavernous and noisy, the Edison succeeds in being a fun eccentric venue that's the perfect spot to drop by for a drink. Good bar scene, although a bit too hip at times, but continues to entertain. parking can be a bit tricky but not too much of a problem. Thursday night seems to be the best with some good retro bands.
Pros: Fun crowd, good bands
Cons: parking, a little noisy

Great decor, rude Staff
by lipstick24
Last night I went to The Edison for the first time. My friend bragged about how it?s sophisticated, relaxed, and ?not Hollywood.? So I was surprised when the door guys, Brian and the bald guy, were the stereotypical ?Hollywood door guy on an ego trip,? with no manners, not very professional, and pretty rude. But the inside of the club was really nice with cool, chill people. I like the decor and the relaxed, sophisticated atmosphere they?re going for. It?s just too bad that some of the hired help had to ruin the image for the club.
Pros: Visuals
Cons: Costly considering you don't get good service in return

by Anonymous70065
6/28 My boyfriend and I decided to visit the Edison for the first time. The bouncer was so friendly and down to earth, he let us off easy since we had no reservations to get in and it being our first time there. We got in after waiting in line for no more than 15 min. This place is beautiful with the way they decorated this place! It's amazing to look at. The crowd has a little of everything, classy easy going crowd. Nothing but friendly faces having a good time. I would definately recommend this place and will be going back soon. The only advise would be to make reservations so you dont have to wait in line. We were the lucky ones. :-) Thank you friendly bouncer!
Pros: Friendly crowd, beautiful lounge
Cons: I didnt experience anything bad with this place.

We did go there on Friday night around 12:30, got in very easy and very friendly bouncer, I liked inside decoration especially if you have somebody from out of the town would be good recomindation, Drink were good and staff friendly. the only turn off for this bar would be the Crowd, I'm not sure becuase it was Friday night or normally they aren't that many people in there and not that many cute girls, but every body were frindly and I'm going back some Saturday night to try this place agian.

Great for big parties
by Stephanie1123
Threw a private party in the game room and had the greatest experience. Our planner Zack was amazing and accomodating! The inside staff was wonderful. The server really took care of my group with speed and great service, putting up with several highly intoxicated people. As well as Matthew who helped me out several times during the night with some of my needs. I would go here again and definetly throw another party. One tip, if you're coming in a large party with an open bar option... make sure they hand you your braclets down stairs. Too much mix up at the door with other guests accidently getting your bracelets.

Rude Staff, Overpriced drinks and food
by jolo4
The Edison is an amazing space visually and is worth going for that alone. I have been two times now an am not sure I will return however. The staff is very rude and obnoxious. We were there for a Cirque Du Soleil type event and the staff kept moving people around, telling us where we could stand, where we could or could not sit. There were very rude and pompous, not at all courteous. They acted like it was our great privilege to be there as opposed to our being paying customers. The food and drinks are very overpriced and the music is "club" type music which does not suit the aesthetics of the space and was WAY too loud. This could be such an amazing venue but unfortunately the experience does not match the space...

Best bar in Downtown.
by downtownjuliebrown
This place is unbelievable, and has true downtown class. The security and staff are all very welcoming, and the food is excellent. I recommend this bar over any in Los Angeles. You can reserve tables online, No cover, full of good looking people, and perfect for any occasion.
Pros: food, great beers on tap, great atmosphere
Cons: not open 7 days a week

SIMPLY FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by heyitzellen
I love LA. There are so many cute bars, restaurants, and clubs and ... I highly recommend this place for after-work cocktails & romantic dates! ;) The ambiance is simply magical from unique decors, black & white films, humongous juke box, and classy patrons... absolutely my favorite!
Pros: nice service, good ambiance, lovely people
Cons: scary neighborhood at night

GREAT Atmosphere!
by kimcan84
Two of my friends and I stopped by here on a Saturday night for drinks before heading off to another party. We got there around 8:30, and while we couldn't find a table (all reserved) we managed to find two empty seats at the end of the bar. I ordered what ended up being a very strong lemon drop for myself and a dessert platter for all of us. Twenty bucks for an amazing collection of fresh cookies & milk, mini-cupcakes, and peanut butter & banana sandwiches isn't too bad. There was WAY too much food for the three of us, though. I'd say order it when you've got a party of six. My friend ordered the Kobe sliders (mini-burgers), which were good, but not worth $16. The atmosphere was fantastic. Between the very classy staff and the early 20th century films playing on the wall, I think Edison would be proud of this place having his namesake.
Pros: Atmosphere, dessert, drinks
Cons: Wait time for drinks, line to get in, reservations needed for tables

Been here a couple of times, all my friends love it, except for the long line if we get there too late
Excellent Service, beautiful place, and wonderful crowd. Would go here again and again ...
Pros: Decor, Crowd, Drinks
Cons: Long Lines after 10pm

Looked awesome, too bad we couldn't get in...
by mp3dude
After seeing their snazzy website and reading some reviews, I really wanted to give The Edison a try. We got there around 9:30ish and there was already a huge line.... We waited about an hour and a half before the bouncer came around and told everyone that we'd have to wait another hour and a half, minimum. After that point we left. Maybe at some point in the future I'll try making reservations before going back but for now, I'm bummed. Waiting 3 hours in line is NOT my idea of a good time.
Pros: Awesome looking place
Cons: Freakin huge line of people that didn't move
