There's never a dull moment at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant. The music is pumping, the mood is upbeat and the atmosphere is as stimulating as a big bite of wasabi. RA is the perfect place to cut loose with friends, toss back a few, and enjoy the best sushi the ocean has to offer. They also have a full menu of Pacific-Rim dishes to satisfy any taste. Come hook up with friends, or soon-to-be friends, and enjoy all of life's good things at RA. See for yourself why everything's more fun in the RA!
Yuck...worst sushi I have had ever!!! Zip is way better!!
by PinkHawk
So me and my friend went here the other evening...our waitress was as smart as a block! Seriously, she was horriable. Paid no attention to detail, knocked over my friends soy sauce tray and didn't even bother to clean it, after coming to our table 3 times. So my friend finally said something, after we realized she was a ditz. Not to mention the sushi was not fresh at all and tasted like it had been sitting for a few days...I will never eat her again! Ra just lost like 12 customers because of this!! :P
Pros: Maybe the atmosphere...that's it!
Cons: Sour tasting-old fish used-exspensive-poor service-loud

Poor service and mediocre sushi
by Kismet007
Ra Sushi is a good spot for drinking and hanging out during their popular happy hours. However, their sushi is highly Americanized and they have on-going problems with fish quality. On at least two occasions, I've had tuna there as chewy as gum. Their prices are also very high, even for basic items like miso soup (I think they have the priciest--and most watered down--miso soup in the IE). Servers tend to have an attitude. I live right around the corner so even though we don't like it, we periodically cave in and eat there or get take out. Eighty percent of the time we get take out, they forget to put ginger and wasabi in with the sushi, which drives me crazy. The little extra effort to get to Zip Fusion around the corner is definitely worth it. I also recommend Sushi Kawa and Sushi Momo--both much less of a scene, but far better sushi.
Pros: Lively happy hour
Cons: Service with an attitude, poor sushi quality, inauthentic menu

Great Happy Hour, $1 hot sake, yummy chicken wing
by balabala
we walked into the ra restaurant on a Monday during happy hour. $1 hot sake, you cant beat that price anywhere else. The other drinks were strong as well. You must try the chicken wing & lobster spring roll! They are super yummy! Our waitress is really nice, but the service is a little bit slow. The ambiance is really nice! cool decoration and nice people. I'd come back in the future!
Pros: cheap happy hour, yummy food
Cons: Slow service

great sushi
by alwaysaregular
I love RA. My kids (9, 6 & 4yr old) love it, too. I'm always there for lunch or Thursday nites for 80's nite. Great atmosphere, great service and most important GREAT SUSHI. I highly recommend the salmon carrpaccio, spicy lobster roll and the squid salad. Oh! and Pinkberry is close by for dessert afterwards. I'm craving it now!!!!
Pros: sushi, atmosphere and service
Cons: none

Friendliest Staff Ever! Fabulous food!
by ccabal
This is the best sushi bar I've ever been too! The staff were really, really nice. I've never seen such great service before, even in fancy restaurant's. The menu was off the hook! I love the creativity as far as their food goes. I am very impressed with this restuarant and can't wait to come here again!!!

BEST Happy Hour
by lhaphoto
After a long hard day at work, all I wanted to do was kick back with my friends, eat some great sushi and slam some sake bombers. Well mission accomplished! The atmosphere was upbeat and kicking; the sushi was the freshest I have had in California in a very long time. Their unique rolls kept me entertained with an impressive bite every time. I have a soft spot for Sake and their own personal brand is excellent. I would recommend this to anyone who has a craving for sushi, fun, and great happy hour prices.
Pros: Great Sushi

Best Sushi in the IE!!
by tomg212
I'm an avid sushi eater and I was quite excited to see RA Sushi opening right down the street from me. I've been to the location's in Las Vegas and San Diego so I couldn't wait for this one! After spending a night here, I found myself quite surprised. I didn't remember having as much fun at the others!! The service was excellent: our waitress was cute and super attentive. She was able to guide my wife through Sake, it was her first time with RA. The food was AMAZING! I never tasted fish so fresh! The music was a great mix between classic rock that I grew up listening to, to the dance hits you can here at any of the trendiest clubs in LA. No matter what mood you're in, you can't help but be in a great mood when you're there! Since our first time, my wife and I are now regulars. We come in every friday night, but we hear that Sunday night is rocking!! My recommendations: Food: the Mango Ceviche was so flavorful with the mango salsa topping. Drinks: Sake, Sake, Sake!! Great selection at a great price!!!
Pros: Ambience was great! Service, amazing! Food, top notch!!!
Cons: Hard to find your first time, but worth the effort!
