The sushi was beautifully made and presented. The restaurant is small but nice. The only downside to the place is the average taste of the sushi. The flavor seemed to be drowned out by combining too many flavors on each roll.

My friends and I used to frequently eat at Sushi Zen, at least once every two weeks and I had my graduation luncheon there too. This has to be the best and cheapest Japanese restaurant anywhere in the Sunset district. The Bento boxes run for about $5.00 during lunchtime and the portions are generous. The only downfall is the street parking and having to worry about the meters but other than that, Sushi Zen is definitely worth paying a visit to!

For a neighborhood spot this place is pretty good. The salmon sashimi and butter fish were super fresh and Kevin, the owner, is very generous with his portions and his saki pours. The fried sushi-the Winter Wonderland and the crab were okay but the sushi and sashimi were much better. It was Saturday night and it wasn't too crowded so it's perfect to stop in and grab a bite. I would try this place again and I would stick to the sushi.
Pros: Great neighborhood spot for Sushi
