Hokkaido Buffet

No doubt about the food they serve... it is good but the price is not...too high for the present economic situation! Nevertheless, I am writing this review to make you aware of their staff/crew. It happened to me twice, on two different occasions...so please BE CAUTIOUS!!! Sometime in March, 2009, I invited my housemates for dinner... I used my credit/debit card in paying but I was surprised when I checked my account online the next day that my credit card number was used by one of their crew in purchasing books from Barnes & Nobles (my bank investigated on it) so I am very positive on this. Pay cash...to be safe!!! Secondly or on September 25, 2009, my fiancee incidentally left his cellphone on the seat. So when we went back for it, which is barely 3 minutes when we stepped out of the restaurant, the waitress who cleaned our table already brought the cellphone inside the kitchen, which should not be the case!!! All lost and found items must be surrendered to the front desk officer or the manager! The owner should make a thorough background investigation in accepting their employees!!! If their employees could do these things to customers, what more with the management. I think their staff/crew needs more orientation....be courteous to customers, as well!

Had to wait about 10 minutes (it was pretty crowded), but once inside with our table we were free to go to the buffet. I was surprised at how much food they had - there was a great selection. All kinds of interesting Asian dishes, as well as a fresh fruit & vegetable bar and a Mongolian-style barbecue. I am a vegan and I found plenty to eat here. The sushi chef was happy to make me a vegetable roll too, which was delicious. Polite staff. It was a very enjoyable experience and I will definitely come again. :)

This Buffett caters to a lot of Asian cultures. They serve Japanese, Chinese, Korean, always fresh fruits and cooked vegetables. They have a grill to grill Mongolian BBQ style. Good fresh salads, fruits, all sorts of fresh sushi and sushi rolls. Good assortment of soups. This restaurant is also clean and well maintained. My kids also love coming here. Personally, I come for the crab legs...

For all you can eat seafood and other dishes, make sure you empty your stomach before you go. Food is average with a family style atmosphere which is a little crowded. Always busy - expect a little wait time.

we used to go to this other place, but ever since hokkaido opened, we're here at least 10 minutes before it opens for lunch. every cent of you money's worth. and the selection is just amazing. they have japanese food that goes well with the rest of the choices that you have to make. and did i mention that if you just want quick regular japanese, this place has it. i mean, whatever you pay for for 2 rolls and an order of tempura will get you rol;ls and tempura plus a whole lot more!
