The flavors of Brazil come alive at Espetus with Bay Area's very first Rodizio Style restaurant. The concept is simple: serve the meat straight from the fire on which it was cooked so that the flavor, temperature and texture are perfect. In the Brazilian Language, Espetus means skewer. In a traditional churrascaria (shoo-ras-ka-ria), meat is cooked on skewers over an open fire and brought straight to the table where it is carved directly onto your plate. For one set price, you will experience one or all of our succulent cuts of meat, continuously served until you are finished eating. Espetus also has a full salad bar overflowing with the exotic salads and side dishes of the Brazilian cuisine.

If you've never eaten at a rodizio-style restaurant, it's a fun experience...and for a special occasion when you don't mind paying $49.95 per person, Espetus is fine. However, I've had a lot better food (both salad bar and meat) at another place in SoCal, so for me Espetus was "okay" and not one I'd return to a second time.
P.S. I uploaded pics of the restaurant and salad bar here, but I also took videos of them serving all the different meats. I posted 16 short video clips on YouTube - just do a search for "espetus churrascaria" and you'll see them.

I've visited Espetus a couple times for birthday celebrations. They offer a fabulous buffet in addition to off the chart meat served straight to your table.
The location is a bit hidden, but the ambiance inside is very classy. The pricing is a little high, but well worth it.
I would recommend pacing yourself during the meal because the portions keep coming, and you can't leave without trying their desserts and coffee. Mmmmm....

This place is GREAT! I was in San Francisco on business a few weeks ago with my fiance and friends and this place was just perfect!. We ate so much food I thought I was going to burst. The service was great! Only complant I can think of is that the place is really small and even though it wasn't packed the day we went but If it is.. expect to be rubbing elbows with the people next to you, but I have heard they are knocking out the wall next door and expanding (this will help ALOT). I'm moving out to SF early next year and I can see my fiance, friends and I visiting often.
