Converted my dad's old audio cassette collection to CD format so he can listen to them on his home stereo for his 70th birthday. The process went smoothly, and the order was done pretty quick, only about 10 business days. Great service and staff. If you need something converted to CD done professionally and correctly, look no further.
I had several reel-to-reel tapes from the 1960s made onto music DVDs. They did an excellent job. The office area looks into the actual work area and immediately makes you comfortable leaving your only original copies of old memories. They seemed well organized, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would use them again. They are located on the 2nd floor of a building with only a stair access that I could see. It may not be ADA compliant. I'm sure that the staff would assist if needed.
I had several old boxes of slides that I needed to convert digitally into something that I can take with me on my trips without worrying about my slides fading away in the process. I was looking for a local company who can do this sort of work, because I didn't feel comfortable mailing my slides across the country. After a bit of searching around, I came across DVD your memories who are located just a few miles from my home.
There was no elevator in the building, which made it a little rough getting up the stairs. The office was neat and clean and the employee I placed my order with was efficient and thorough, and I felt as though my slides would be in good hands. After talking with the worker about my options, I opted to go with the highest resolution available, as I wanted to archive these the best way I could. The slides were done in about a week and a half, and I couldn't have asked for a better quality product.
I looked everywhere in San Diego for someone who did VHS/Videotape transfers, when I heard through a friend that DVD Your Memories was local. Chris is amazing--he does impeccable work and he's a real nice guy--I feel like he's a friend. The atmosphere is great, and I always feel well taken care of there. You couldn't ask for better service, scheduling, or rapport. I am a huge fan! Thanks Chris--you rock!
They aren't really a copying and duplicating service, but they will do that if you ask. They're really a media transfer service- old videos, film, slides, whatever. The reason I chose these guys is that they are in San Diego. I didn't want to send anything to anyone by mail.
I'm glad I went there- the staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and when they couldn't answer a question, they got back to me about it.
I couldn't believe I was able to carry on a conversation with the actual person who worked on my stuff. It was so great to get it all back and watch all of my home movies again.
One of my DVDs didn't work, and it turned out to be incompatible with my DVD player. This is why I gave it four stars and not five. They burned me another one on another type of DVD. Apparently, they have an unmatched compatibility guarantee, and they got it taken care of in one trip (they did it while I waited).
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this to a friend.
My dad has piles and piles of old VHS tapes of me when I was a kid. I took them all here and they compiled them into DVDs. It was SOOO worth it. Now all of our home movies from the 80s and 90s are put into a case AND are backed up on our computer instead of taking up entire ares of our house.
