I found the employees curt. I did find the indian spice I was looking for. They did not take credit card nor debit for my $4.95 purchase. Their rudeness my be cultural. If I find another store, I will not go back to this one.

its an average indian market but the customer service sucks big time (not all the employees who work there but this one lady in particular). I wanted to try an indian cosmetic line so I bought a face cream which was worth $6. When I came home I saw that the mfg. date on the box was from feb' 2008(i was unaware that a store would carry such old stuff) and was only good for 24 months after the mfg. date. I never opened the product. I went there the next day to exchange it with the same product; but a current mfg. date. I also provided the receipt to the lady. She was so rude and started giving me a total BS; that all the cosmetics were nonrefundable and it was a insurance liability for them...Well, first of all they were selling something that already had expired; and other thing I was asking for an even exchange not a refund. And again she was talking about insurance liability for a cream worth $6...give me a break..I do strongly suggest her to take up a class for "How to run a business 101". Even the store manager offered to help me out (knowing that I was right), but this lady had a big ego and attitude problem; so he wasn't able to go against her decision( i guess she was at a higher position....don't know how???)...
My advice to the shoppers: Make sure to check the mfg. and exp. dates before you put anything in your cart, because you're not getting a refund even though the items are expired. And they do have really old stuff on their shelves. For me, Well they lost me as their client and also I am not referring them to anyone else. Good luck for the way they're running their business.

This is really a great little store. For the first time, I experienced great customer service at an Indian store / restaurant. The staff there is really nice and helpful. The store is clean and definitely the best looking Indian grocery store. They have a wide variety of Indian snacks, daals (lentils and beans), fresh vegetables, dairy products, and sweets. I love shopping there!

Garden Patch Farmer's Market is a great little place to get fresh fruits and vegetables without having to go to far. Its sandwiched between a row of common chain stores such as Payless and Gamestop but I love stopping in there and picking up a plum to eat as I shop elsewhere!
