Different & Delicious

I had never heard of Zabu Zabu, pronounced Shabu Shabu, before my husband found this place. Apparently it's considered a special treat by most Japanese people. This place brings a hot pot of steaming water or sake to your table and you pick what you want to cook in it. You then add your thinly sliced beef, lamb, pork and all kinds of vegetables into the pot and hold it in the bubbling liquid for a few seconds before pulling it out. You can eat it just like that or dip it in the sauces provided. It's very tasty! They also have different kinds of appetizers you don't have to cook in the hot pot. This is a really fun way to enjoy your food and it is also very delicious. You can do an unlimited amount of meat and veggies for under $30 a person. For what you get, it's definitely worth it! Just make sure you go with an appetite!

I love eating hot-pot style! The act of preparing your food at the table and sharing with your friends makes for a really awesome dining experience. And Zabu-zabu is definitely a great place for shabu-shabu. Great environment, great food, and great service. The restaurant has a lounge vibe which makes it an awesome place for a night out with your favorite crew and some warm sake shots. My waitress, Jane, was super pleasant and attentive. But the food is the star of the show!

Worst Service Ever
by lt58
I love Japanese food and this place was recommended to me. Wanted to see/taste what the hype was about. I disliked the idea of being told that the whole table had to order the same thing, I like my own all-you-can-eat, like every other all-you-can-eat joints. The servers were horrible, and not customer friendly at all. One Asian chick was so rude - needs remedial training. Chick if you don't like your job...QUIT, no need to bring your crappy attitude to work. Food okay, Service was Horrible, don't recommend it...no manager available to talk to. Crappy hole in the wall place, crappy parking, food okay, service --- Unbelievaly WORST ever. One star, cause forced to do so on this site. No stars for this joint.
Pros: Food - typical (tasted better)
Cons: Worst Service Ever
