Owner, Sandro Costanza, left Calabria, Italy, in 1988 and since then has spent decades cooking and table-waiting his way through restaurants in Paris, London, Rome, San Francisco and Santa Cruz. For the best homemade pastas and gnocchi in Silicon Valley you need to go to Ristorante Da Mario. All meal are prepared by chefs Sandro and Mario and they are mouth watering. The potions are a little on the small side but other than that the food is excellent. The staff is very attentive and the atmosphere is warm and friendly.

Great pasta Dishes

They restuarant owner and staff are Italian and offer great dishes. Their lunch special is a great deal if you can get there for lunch.

Over Priced and Over Rated

Got excited when this new restaurant appeared in downtown location but....Mediocre food that is hugely over priced. Less than friendly staff. We also felt mislead by the staff who oversold us on what we needed to order - will never go back!!
