George Petrelli's Steak House

Years ago, across the street was Joe Petrelli's Steak House. It was good! George Petrelli's Steak House is overrated and overpriced. Many people from work RAVE about it. I find the food, especially the burgers, overpriced and low on flavor. I think the Counter, The Shack, Apple Pan (my all-time favorite) and many others blow them away, for less!

The service is horrible, the food is under or over cooked, with no taste at all. I had the urge to bring my steak back home to cook and have a more pleaseant athosphere.

Probably sacrilege to be writing this, especially as I have lived in Culver City my whole life, but I just don't find this place that good. Perhaps I am wrong, but I doubt it.

Petrelli's is a classic old Culver City joint that has seen much better days. It's straight out of the 50's, and not in a good way: so-so steak, overcooked vegetables, stingy drinks...it's like being at an old, over-priced cafeteria. I had really high hopes for the place when I first went because I love old steakhouses, but this one went to seed a long time ago.
