I've had 2 experiences here. My first was not very good- i ordered the vegiatrian pizza, which was loaded with veggies, but it was very bland. I needed to add parmesean and chili flakes for it to have much flavor. Another time, a friend and I ordered the wild mushroom pizza for delivery and it was very good! I loved the combonation of flavors!

Good Experience
by bennyhanna
I appreciate and applaud the efficiency of the delivery service. I also was a huge fan of the fresh arrugula, which is a rare ingredient in the pizza world, being placed on the pizza after it was cooked. This was a pleasant experience, though I have had better. I certainly would and will go back.
Pros: Quick delivery / fresh ingredients
Cons: price

My favorite pizza
by emilymonahan
The best pizza I have found on the West Coast. The ingredients are always fresh and they use an authentic brick oven - yes it does make a difference. Once you try them, you'll definitely be back for more :-)
Also try the jumbo chocolate cookie - mmmmm!
Pros: Fresh ingredients, Authentic Brick Oven Pizza
Cons: luch times can get busy

Went from Best Place to Worst
by viveri
Wow, I have been a loyal customer here for 2 years now.
My wife and i used to go 3-4 times a week.
They had the best panini sandwich and bbq chicken salad we could have ever asked for.
Up until they changed their menu recently...
Its just not the same place.
They use cheaper ingrediance now, the chicken panini sandwich is different, they completley stripped the bbq chicken salad from the menu. But increased the number of pasta dishes... which is a sign of declining quality.
Pitfire Co. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR MENU BACK !
Pros: pizza
Cons: sandwich, salads, pasta, everything else

COLD COLD COLD RUBBER CHEW.
by carynh
COLD COLD COLD RUBBER CHEW. The coldest pizza I ever received. Flat as a board and chewed like rubber. The small salad was below small - it was in a teeny tiny box about 2 x 2. Ridiculous.
Pros: None
Cons: Cold. Chewey like rubber. Tastless. Flat as a board.

as good as it gets
by bananasareformonkeys
los angeles has a lot of pizza problems but this place is definitely a top ten if it comes to pizza! the pasta isn't as good as pizza though. their cupcake desserts are amazing, i am not sure where they come from.
all the pizzas are delicious, all baked in the brick oven in the restaurant. their fresh ingredients and the oven are the secret to the one of la's best pizza!
this place rocks and so do their prices

Beautiful Service, Welcoming Environment, and Quality Pizza.
by durkahoy
Best if you go there and try it out rather than ordering it online since it loses its flavor by the time it gets delivered to your home within an hour or so. Pizzas are pretty thin and pricey like CPK's, yet taste far better with quality toppings and just the right texture. If you don't mind the price for the quality and environment there rather than quantity, then give it a try. If you do mind about the quantity and price, look elsewhere.
Pros: Excellent service and pizza.
Cons: It is in one of the busiest parts of Los Angeles, so parking would be the only issue here.

The food was amazing!
by Dales
The food at the Pitfire is so good. Think about trying their Calzones stuffed with cheese and spinach with a side of their ceaser salad. Great atmosphere and great location.

Great rustic stone fired crust; Unusual but very tasty toppings!
by mtnmeg
Wonderful flavors for unusual combinations! Don't underestimate the vegetarian- piled high, it is insanely good! Folded pesto chicken also very tasty. Loved mine with rosemary, grilled sweet onions, and basil! Unfortunately no liquor license (yet!) Well priced.
Pros: Unusual, tasty toppings
Cons: Service is not very organized; Seems like they just need more training

Bad delivery pizza, bad manager
by carinamarie
we ordered pizza from pitfire on a wednesday night. took an hour and when we got it, it was stone cold. on top of that, the size of the pie was not large, medium at best, and there was no sauce on it. blanca (or bianca, there's some dispute on the name) took my order ("large pizza with mushrooms") and when we called to dispute, she argued that we had ordered a specialty pizza, the wild mushroom. apparently, if you don't want sauce on your very small, cold pizza, it's an extra $3 charge (plus delivery charge). i can't speak for the establishment but the delivery is messed up.
Pros: good pizza when they get it right
Cons: cold pizza, bad management, portions and prices

Fresh and great crust!
by sverige
I was ecstatic that Pitfire was finally opening its doors to Westwood so that all the West LA people could finally try it! Everything at Pitfire seems like it came straight from the local farmer's market (which I believe it does.) My favorite of the Pizzas is the Margherita which has the perfect cheese tomato ratio (I also like to add roasted garlic.) The mushroom one isn't bad either. I wasn't a huge fan of the Veggie b/c each vegetable (squash, zucchini, eggplant, etc) is too large per a slice. Maybe if they were chopped up more and it had a little bit more flavor I would like it... The pastas are surprisingly good too (I say surprisingly b/c many pizza places tend to serve 2nd rate pasta, and it's not like it's that hard to cook al dente...) I really like the Bolognese and my friend is a fan of the seafood pasta. Finally, decent pizza with some organic ingredients!
Pros: Crust, healthy ingredients
Cons: lacks a little in flavor

As great as NYC pizza
by lovemakesall
Best pizza in Los Angeles. If anybody knows of anything better let me know but I'm sure it will be hard to top. The ingredients are fresh as can be and the staff is quite attentive. Managment is quite pleasant as well. I have yet to try their pasta but it wont be long before I have a taste my self. Kudos to the owner ;)
Pros: deliciouse fresh pizza
Cons: Parking
