This is a small little place in Wilmington that has the best priced and best tasting Nicaraguan food in the whole Metro L. A. area. The restaurant staff is friendly and is the place is kept very clean. The flavor of all the Nicaraguan dishes are authentic; Fritanga is my favorite (traditional Nicaraguan dish containing different styled meats and loaded with plantains and " Gallo Pinto: or fried red beans and rice. They also have a large variety tasty Mexican and Salvadorean Cuisine. All of the dishes are excellently priced.

The food and service at La Huerta is superior and the cost is economical. The menu includes authentic Mexican, Salvadorean and Nicaraguan cuisine at a very affordable price. We lived in Wilmington for several months and visited this restaurant at least once a week during that time. I couldn't get enough Platanos (fried plantains). We neither one knew ANY Spanish and with the English translations on the menu we were able to order just fine, but if you have a special request it is best to know how to ask for it in Spanish. (The owner is bi-lingual, but the servers and cooks speak very little English) Even with difficulty in communication we loved the service we received there.
