I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

I along with 3 friends bought the recent Living Social deal. Before we made the purchase, we first checked to make sure they were open on a Sunday because it was the only day we can make it. Side note: 3 of the girls are from out of town and were coming to OC for a wedding in April.

The Facelogic website at that time Living Social was offering the deal did not have the Tustin location listed so I looked them up on Yelp and found their tel no which confirmed their hours...they were open Sundays. Great. We purchased our certificates. I then called and spoke to Taylor who said that they aren't open on Sundays anymore. I told her their voicemail greeting said otherwise and that we purchased our certificates based on that info. She said she'd talk to the owner as she believes they'll be able to accommodate us...she promised to call me back. Five days later after not having heard back from Taylor, I called the salon and spoke to Taylor again who at that time still hadn't spoken to the owner who turns out to be her mother (she informed me of this). I told her that I really would like to have an answer so we can book our appointments. She informed me that it wouldn't be a problem opening up for us on the particular Sunday that we needed to come but that they can only have 2 aestheticians which means they would have to do 2 girls at a time. While this was nice, this wasn't my preference as we had limited time and we didn't want to waste 1 hour of just waiting for others to finish. (My friends were flying out that Sunday afternoon) Taylor further indicated that if we came on the Saturday prior, they can accommodate all 4 of us simultaneously as they have the day quite open. While I liked that idea, I couldn't commit as I had to check with my girls' schedules since we had an afternoon wedding to attend that Saturday. So we ended the conversation with Taylor to call me the next day with confirmation of what time they can open the salon for us on the given Sunday, and if I can get us in on Saturday, I would book our Saturday appointments...this way, they wouldn't have to open for us on Sunday and we 4 girls can get our services at the same time.

The next day, I received no calls from Taylor so I called the salon but this time Taylor wasn't there, instead Shirley (salon owner and Taylor's mother) answered the phone. I asked Shirley if Taylor reiterated my situation. Nope. So, I got her up to speed. Shirley wouldn't even allow me to finish a sentence and kept talking over me with "we're not open on Sundays and we would only open for special engagements". I asked perhaps Taylor was considering ours a "special engagement"? Shirley basically challenged everything I said, basically accusing me of being a liar and making everything up. Really? Like I don't have better things to do? I asked her where Taylor was and that she should speak to her to confirm everything with her. She insisted that Taylor would never give such information. It was very difficult to talk to Shirley as she would not listen and would rather say the same sentence repeatedly, we're not open on Sundays. Well, they should've changed their greeting to be more clear (which btw, as of this morning still had the old greeting saying they're open on Sundays), and her employee should not have made statements they couldn't fulfill. I then told her that Taylor said she could accommodate all four us the Saturday prior...Shirley quickly responded that they're fully-booked on Saturday. I told her that just yesterday, Taylor said it wouldn't be a problem getting my group of 4 in. Oy vey! The owner was just plain rude.

Now, I'm not sure how old Taylor is...she sounded mature enough and professional even to have communicated such information to me. I have no idea why she would tell me something that the salon couldn't/wouldn't do. And just as badly, the salon owner (her mother) kept insisting that Taylor would never have made such commitments. Now why would I be making this stuff up? Here I am, looking to get pampered and relieve stress and the mere appointment process gave me more stress than a bad dental appointment! Argh! What a disappointment. Yup, $49 is a great deal for a facial but I'd much rather pay $100+ at Burke Williams or a comparable spa where I know I'll be treated fairly and politely.

Fortunately, Living Social credited our certificates back after explaining what had happened with no hassle. The last thing I want to do is to give this salon my business when they can't back up their statements. I like to support small businesses but not if they don't have integrity. Facelogic's Tustin location needs to learn better customer service, improve their communication skills and stand behind their statements.

What a terrible experience! I hope you have a much better experience than me...if you become a victim, get your $ back from Living Social.

WOW! At first I wasn't sure how to feel, but I must say this was the most relaxing thing that I've ever done. This was my first facial and they made me feel so comfortable and the family atmosphere made it all worth while. The employees were so welcoming and the owner shirly was so genuine. I would recommend a facial at facelogic in irvine to everyone.
