It's hard to imagine... theres only two reviews so far!

by Ryan Y. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,462

This place is awesome! Tri-tip sandwich and MANGO smoothie! Always a mango smoothie even just walking by. The Acai-berry smoothie is also really delicious but it's rather expensive so I've only had it once. It's a wonder they're only a shack, but they've upgraded their paint job recently *proud applaud*

Tri-tip with the works. 'nuff said.

by Shea C. | insider Insider | Rank: 29,240

It's hard to imagine that a little shack set up in the parking lot of a bike store would make some of the most delicious sandwiches one can find in the East Bay. That's partly what makes this place unique. That said, the true star of the show here is the Tri-Tip Sandwich with the works. It's simply amazing. I'm not sure what in the unlikely mix of beef, olives, pineapples and jalapeno peppers makes the experience so unreal, but it is. I'm guilty of only having had just this item on the menu (along with a mango smoothie...on a hot day: divine) but, really, that's all they need.

A little bit pricey but it's always worth it in the end!

Best Tri-tip sandwich!

by Christine W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,530

Tri-tip sandwiches! If you go to Brazil Cafe and order this, it speaks for itself. Delicious, tender pieces of tri-tip in a sandwich with a creamy cilantro sauce, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato. Reasonably priced, less than $10 for the sandwich and small cup of mango smoothie. There are two locations, one on University and one right around the corner which is small and only has indoor seating. The location on University is literally a shack but has outdoor seating, the friendly owner Pedro who seems to always be there and coupons for free smoothies. The only downside- the university location always seems to take forever!
