I never thought I'd bother to review a locksmith service. Then I needed to hire a locksmith to create a new key for my Ford (which has an electronic chip in each key)....and received a number of outrageous rip-off bids. =(

Busy Bees is owned an operated by a great guy. His name is Jerry. The man is honest, knowledgeable, kind, drives over to wherever you are (24 hours a day) and is very fair in his pricing. One bonus for the ladies...there is no creepy vibe to this man whatsoever.

I'm a member of AAA Plus, which is supposed to reimburse you $100 toward any locksmith service. Nevertheless, AAA quoted me a fee of $260 for their contracted locksmith ("Day N Night") to create a key to my car. =(

I thought that outrageous. So I looked on YELP and then called around. One reviewer described his locksmith as being very fair and very kind. I called them.

They don't do keys that contain computer chips. They referred me to Jerry @ Busy Bees.

Oh! Did I mention that I'd called the dealership? They wanted me to have the car towed in to them...were determined to charge me $95 to simply "diagnose the problem"...and they also insisted I needed to provide them with 2 keys to make anything happen??

The dealership had re-coded my keys in the first place...when they "lost" my key during servicing for body work. =( They then offered me a deal...they would send somebody over to my house but he would charge me $160 for the favor. He would also create only one key for that $160.

Jerry (the Busy Bees guy) drove over to my home that very night. Created me a new key, re-coded my nonworking key to match it and also taught me how to re-code all of my other keys to this car as I retrieve them from my precocious three year old daughter.

He also cheerfully re keyed our mailbox...for no additional service call fee. Thanks to me...we accidentally re-keyed my neighbor's box in error...he upgraded my neighbor's lock and created three keys for them as well.

Oh! And he was more than $100 less than the dealership and almost $200 less than the AAA locksmith.

I would recommend this wonderful man to anybody.
