Maple has excellent teachers and they expect you to commit in terms of efforts, expenses, and time. The tuition is not inexpensive and the commitment is required. But when you see all of the ballerinas they trained, it is well worth it. My daughter is very happy and proud of going to Maple. There are other dance studios which allow a lot more flexibilities, if you don't want to commit. Maple is for serious dancers.

It is excellent for the serious ballet dancer. They take very special precautions on putting dancers on pointe. Everyone is positive and very caring. The classes are very tiring but in the end my daughter always tells me of how fun and productive they were. I highly recommend this ballet studio for anyone who wants to become a ballet dancer. Even though there is one staff member who is rude sometimes, you do not see her very often. That is no reason to move from a high caliber ballet studio just because one person may not be so freindly.

I highly recommend this studio for all dancers. Anyone can join. I have been to many ballet studios and this one is the best in Orange County. They have high class teachers, students, performances, and classes. This is an excellent studio for your dancer to go to!

I agree with the parents who were treated rudely by a member of the administration. I was treated quite poorly on occasion and am not sure why. I also found it disappointing that so many teachers left and were replaced by others, thus disrupting the orderly progression of learning by the students. I know a bit about ballet training, and am not sure this is the place for a serious student. Too much discord, too many changes and no real established method of training that I could see - of course, I was not allowed to actually see the weekly classes as the parents are not allowed anywhere near the classrooms. I have researched other schools in the area, and have made a change for my daughters. They are now happy, and so am I.

My daughter used to attend Maple. I was very happy with the quality of the instruction. Her teacher was kind and made classes fun while being rigorous. She made my daughter feel welcome and respected.

However, the one of the administrative staff members was extremely rude. At the beginning I thought maybe she was just having a bad day and shrugged it off. But each time I encountered her it got worse. She was consistently unfriendly, arrogant, irritable and condescending. She always spoke to me with an incredibly snotty tone. Every interaction I had with her was an unpleasant one.

In her defense, I did notice that she was friendly with a select few parents. But I am not sure why she was kind to them and cold to everyone else. I overheard other parents complaining about this staff member??s behavior, how uncomfortable she made them feel and how they avoided her if possible.

Finally, I decided to find a new ballet school for my daughter. Although she enjoyed her classes at Maple, I dreaded taking my daughter to class each week and I could no longer stomach supporting a business where I was treated so poorly. Even though the teachers were wonderful, I would not consider moving my daughter back to Maple unless that staff member was gone.

We have had our daughter study dance at the Maple Conservatory for the past two years and it's been a wonderful, caring and supportive place for her. They do a good job to take an interest in all of their students, no matter if they aspire to be a professional dancer, or not. All of the teachers are excellent, are knowledgeable about teaching correct dance technique, and are former professional dancers. Overall it's been a healthy, supportive environment for our daughter, as well as a great place for her to develop as a dancer.

This is a wonderful place with caring and very knowledgeable teachers. (All of the teachers are former professional dancers with ABT, New York City Ballet, Miami City Ballet and other companies.) They're not into expensive costumes and expensive competitions. (They provide all of the costumes for their performances.) It's a place where kids learn to dance beautifully and not just memorize and rehearse endless routines.
