I needed a good photographer who could produce some photos that would work for career advancement and networking. I'm not a businessy-type, and I wanted something down-to-earth but flattering. I chose Clayton because I was drawn to photos on his website: he seemed to catch people in spontaneous poses that came across as natural but aesthetically attractive and interesting. When I spoke with him on the phone, I knew I wanted to work with him. He's friendly, intelligent, casual, and likable. But nothing prepared me for the actual shoot and results. He spent so much time making sure I had the setting and angles I wanted. He went out of his way to accommodate me. And, I was TRANSFIXED by the array of fantastic photos. I literally had difficulty narrowing down below 40 that I really liked, and I'm not a vain person. He has an eye for color and an eye for character. He is also undeniably an artist but not in an in-your-face dramatic way. Nothing cliche, either. If you're looking for something vivid, real, and elegant, go with Clayton. If you're looking for something else, consider him anyway... he's great to work with! I'll definitely look him up the next time I need photos taken of any kind.

We were so happy that we decided to use Clayton as our photographer, from the beginning to the end. He was very flexible in arranging to meet with us, and his packages allowed us to choose exactly what we wanted. During the wedding he was very polite and professional, and the main photo shoots went by like a breeze. The best part came after the wedding was over, when our photos were online and everyone was able to view them--it was great for people who weren't able to come to the wedding to see what it had been like, and everyone agreed: just looking at the photos gave an excellent representation of what it really was like to be there! The photos were great, with just the right balance between traditional portraits and some creative shots/layouts. We just received our final album, and it is very well-designed and something that we will enjoy looking at for years to come. Many, many thanks to Clayton!

I was in need of a current professional photo for marketing purposes. Having my picture taken is usually an ordeal and I consider myself lucky to get just one photo I do not hate. Photogenic I am not. Let me tell you, I have never had a better experience or picture for that matter. Clayton was professional, accommodating and has provided continued service after the photo shoot. Most importantly, Clayton inspires beautiful photos. Hats off to you Clayton!

Clayton took the time to capture the best moments of our wedding. His attention to detail and ability to read the situation made our pictures outstanding. We traveled from Vancouver BC Canada to get married in San Fran and didn't know what to expect of our photographer - well we were blown away .... thanks Clayton for making our fantastic day appear just as spectacular on film.

Clayton came to my home in El Cerrito on Saturday, took my son's graduation from college pictures, emailed them to me the next day on an easy to view website that the pictures could be viewed in color, B&W and Sepia. I placed the print order with Clayton on Monday morning and they were delivered to me by noon the same day. The quality of the pictures are top notch and much more reasonble than any other place I have gone. I can't recommend Clayton highly enough.

We are extremely pleased with the photos that Clayton Mitchell shot of our SF City Hall wedding. He found some very scenic backdrops and applied a creative and artistic eye to our portraits. He was speedy, prolific, and produced a vast variety of interesting and charming images in a friendly and unobtrusive manner. We were very comfortable working with him. In addition, we especially appreciated the care, attention, time, and professional skill he devoted to our special event. He turned around the complete batch of individually color corrected images on CD in just a week and was also available for printing the photos in various formats. It was a memorable day for us and Clayton was the perfect photographer to capture it. We highly recommend him.
