Friar Tuck's a must-visit for the hungry tourist. Carmel is a favorite of mine to visit and do some serious shopping... and Tuck's is a favorite for my husband to do some serious eating!
Love the omelets and waffles. Portions are huge - careful when you order!

This place feels like home from the moment you step inside. The decor is low-key, with vintage posters and cozy booths, nice coffee mugs add to the warm ambience. Service is great, friendly and quick. Their burgers are amazing. I wish I could visit this place every week. Inexpensive and delicious.

Pros: Delicious food, great coffee, inexpensive, fast and friendly service

Like a diner you've been going to all of your life this little gem stands out in the otherwise up-scale melange of Carmel eateries. Warm and inviting the owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Outstanding breakfast and grill items at hometown prices were a nice surprise. I'd return again and again if I lived within 20 miles of Dolores Street.
